Holly Journals October 2016 Subscription Box Review + Coupon

Holly Journals is a subscription for the journal lover. It comes with a handmade journal and every journaling thing you will need each month. These journals are completely handmade, and everything is coordinated to a specific theme like summer, etc. Boxes are sent out the last week of the previous month so they will arrive in time to start off a new month with a new journal. The day after my belated September box arrived, my October box arrived!

Everything was hidden under black tissue, with the information card on top.

The card is a letter from creator Holly Rose – this October journal is appropriately fall themed! We got some extra candy treats as well.

Here is what I saw immediately upon opening… so exciting!

Everything is packed very securely with bubble wrap when needed. Since the journals are handmade, you don’t want bent corners or anything like that so I appreciate the extra care.

The journals themselves are 50 pages (100 double-sided) and are completely handmade. I love owls, so I love this art on the front!

Every page is always different and combines lines, patterns, blank pages, along with other inserts like envelopes, prints, and cards.

I’m showing restraint this month with how many photos I have, but really it’s just amazing.

October is my favorite month as well, so this was my favourite quote card!

I love the natural-lined paper!

Every box always includes a list of prompts as well as a coordinating journal clip. This month’s box includes some owl charms as well as a key charm, and orange leaf charms as well.

We are also always sent some writing instruments – this month includes another white Gelly Roll (great for writing on darker pages) as well as a black Le Pen and a graphite pencil for sketching, too.

The envelope has coordinating labels, paper clips, tags, and some adorable owl stickers!

Some sweet treats! Caramel hot cocoa as well as some candy sticks!

Once again I’m blown away by the depth of creativity that goes into this box. Stylistically, I preferred the September box as it was more generic and since I’m new to journaling, I’ll probably stick with it for a lot longer than a month. I’m actually planning on gifting this one to a bird-loving friend of mine, and it’ll be nice to have someone journaling along with me that we can exchange prompts and ideas with! Everything matches so well, from the labels to the journal charm to even the colours on the candy sticks! This box is truly a work of art and whether you’re new to journaling like me or a seasoned veteran, getting a new journal to fill up would be an awesome box to try. I think this box would also make a fantastic gift as well!
