Goodbeing Subscription Box Review – October 2016

Goodbeing, formerly Goodebox,  is a little different than the standard beauty subscription box because it is a discovery service. You may receive beauty products, cosmetics, wellness and sustainable, toxin-free living goods. Each box will contain 4-5 products ranging from trial-size to full-size. Goodbeing now offers a Pick a Product feature. Subscribers can choose up to two products each month or choose to have the box be a complete surprise.

I love Goodbeing because it has a profile that you fill out upon joining. The profile is comprehensive and took me about 15 minutes to fill out. It’s worth the time because the box is customized based upon your answers. It’s ideal for people like me that have specific skincare needs. My box may not look like your box. The front part of the information card contains a picture and price of the item. At the back is where you’ll find the full-size price, a description, and directions in using the item.

I received an email on October 3rd letting me know it was time to pick my product choice. I clicked on the email which brought up the sample page showing the selection available to me. The Made in the USA Yuni Hydrating Body Conditioner (2 oz, $8.00) contains organic Baobab Oil and Fair Trade Green Tea Extract. It’s a lightweight cream that is absorbed easily into the skin. I selected because I was running low on body moisturizer. Yuni is one of the October featured brands. This means that subscribers receive 15% off when ordering Yuni through the Goodbeing Shop.

The Mai Couture Lavender Blotting Papers (100 sheets, $13.00) was my second product choice. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I also received a two sheet sample of the Mai Couture Blush in Sunset. No swatches because there are only two sheets.

I selected the Mai Couture Lavender sheets because my face responds well to the lavender oil infused sheets. The made-in-Taiwan sheets are paraben-free, talc-free, and does not disturb makeup.

The American Botanics Super C+ Skin Protecting Tonic with Brightening Complex ($19.50) had a slight medicinal scent. It’s full of wonderful ingredients such as Vitamin C, tea tree leaf extract, and even maple extract. It is free of gluten, parabens, sulfates, gmos and more. The tonic brightens the skin, improves sun and age spots, and reduces fine wrinkles. I did use one pad to see how my face felt about it. It felt itchy which is what I expected because a few of the ingredients bothers my rosacea. The ingredients will work well on my sister’s face.

Yes, the Annmarie Rosemary Peppermint Body Wash (1 oz, $5.17) smells as good as it sounds. Full of wonderful ingredients that I can pronounce, the body wash is also pH balanced and can be used to wash your wash. It is vegan and gluten-free. I used it in the shower and loved the scent!

The Daily Concepts Your Dual Texture Body Scrubber ($12.00) has a cotton base layer with a soy foam material. I wasn’t paying attention when I picked it up to use in the shower. I surprised myself by rubbing the exfoliation side a little too hard! The softer side is soft and gentle enough to be used on the face. It’s a great addition to my shower routine.

Goodbeing has changed a bit since I last subscribed! I liked being able to select a couple of products and being surprised with the rest. There are subscriber discounts in the shop on featured products which I will be using when I fall in love with a product. The box had a great variety of items based on my profile. I am most excited about the body wash because the scent is amazing. The value of my box is $57.67 which is excellent for a customized natural beauty box with toxin-free living goods. Goodbeing box is a great way to discover beauty products, cosmetics, and living goods all customized to your profile and are healthy, natural and non-toxic.
