Game Box Monthly is a monthly subscription box with a game that you and your family can play. These are usually games I’ve never heard of but they are always fun and we love getting new ones to play each month.

The subscription comes in a plain brown box with the GameBox sticker on the front. Since the games are already in boxes there isn’t much to the inside. Again, this month we are getting two games and then the info card.

The information card gives us a hint about the game’s background, as well as important rules to keep in mind while playing.

Bohnanaza ($16.33) – This one reminds me of some of the online Facebook games that I’ve played over the years. I love that you can plant things and then let them grow and get money. My boys love figuring out the best options and this will be a great game for when we are trying to limit our online time.

Ever imagined you were a bean farmer. Sure, who hasn’t. You got your red beans, your green beans, your black-eyed beans, your coffee beans. But where to plant them. In this card game, smart sowing lets you reap big rewards. Plant the beans you do want, and trade the beans you don’t want to the other players. Adding to the realism of the game, the one who ends up with the most money wins. Comes with 154 Bean Cards, 7 Third Bean Field Cards and a rule booklet. Imported from Germany. For 2 to 7 players.

Coloretto ($15.70) – Oh, a fun sounding game. It sounds a bit like UNO to me and I can’t wait to play it with some adults for a game night. This is a nice small-sized game that will be easy pack along and take with us on a trip. That will be great as an evening activity, either at home or away.

The players draw cards from a card supply in the middle of the table. During the game, the players try to specialize in a few colors, as at the end of the game, a player can score plus points for only 3 colors; the rest score minus points. The more cards a player has of a color, the more points he scores. The player with the most points wins.

This month’s box is full of fun card games! This is the second month that Gamebox has sent us two games and we’re happy with it. We are game people and I love getting a new variety each month. Otherwise, we would be playing the same ones over and over. I’m sure those would also be the ones that my boys can beat me at since that is their favorite thing. With Game Box Monthly, we get a new game to try then and to add into our rotation for our fun family evenings.
