Disney Park Pack Holiday Edition October 2016 Subscription Box Review

Disney Park Pack – Holiday Edition is a new monthly Disney ear hat ornament subscription box from the Disney Store.

Every month, you’ll receive a fully-sculptured ear hat ornament with the bottom of the ornament featuring the month’s artist’s signature. It also comes with a satin ribbon for hanging. Subscriptions are available for $29.99 per month.

The box comes in a special blind box presentation package, and has limited availability.

The top closure looks like the outline of a hat ornament! It’s a super pretty box and fun to open.

The outer box unfolds to reveal the ornament! Disney Mickey Ear Hat Ornaments are crafted from resin and feature iconic elements of the characters and themes they represent. The regular ear hat ornaments are typically $24.99 and can be quite elaborate!

This ornament packaging is great – save them all to store your ornaments neatly when it’s not the holiday season! The inner box has the satin ribbon through the top.

It’s Pinocchio! I was quite surprised to see this one – Jiminy Cricket was the first ornament and I wasn’t expecting a companion at all. The addition of a limited edition 5×7 postcard print with this box would be fabulous – they could tell us more about why they chose the character. Or even… an exclusive Christmas card!

This ornament is really fantastic with tons of blue glitter and a red glittered feather in his cap!  The back shows the character’s signature and you can see that design goes all the way around.

It’s not individually signed but the signature of the artist is printed on the bottom. This is the same artist as the last two months of this subscription (which also happen to be the first two months). I am starting to wonder if any more artists will be represented!

It’s super cute and the ears are reminiscent of (although not exactly like) the sides of Pinocchio’s lederhosen! What I really love is that the blue glitter incorporates the Blue Fairy, who turns Pinocchio into a real boy (as long as he is brave, truthful, and unselfish!).

The satin ribbon attaches to the top of the ornament with a little lobster clasp and you can remove it if you would like to display it on a shelf.  Pinocchio is a gorgeous companion to Jiminy!

I am particularly impressed with the storage packaging – Pinocchio’s bow extends below the main body of the ornament and the box has indents to accommodate that.

I liked this ornament, but I feel like Disney can be all over the place with their subscriptions. I have no idea why we have received 2 ornaments from one story, if we will get a companion to Stitch, or if we will ever get the spoiler ornament that we posted back in August! I also wish the ear hats were as ornate as their retail counterparts, and I am not sure if anyone is having FOMO over this subscription.
