The first product that we pulled out of the Daily Goodie Box was this Q Drinks Ginger Beer ($1.60) in a 12 oz slim can. Don’t let the name fool you, this is not an alcoholic product. It is a carbonated ginger-based beverage with a lite sweetness and sharp bite. It is a different heat than the traditional capsaicin heat of peppers. The heat is clearer and slightly more delayed. It was nice to be able to read and understand every ingredient on the list: carbonated water, organic agave, ginger extract, extracts of lime, coriander, cardamom, oranges, chili peppers and citric acid.

The Q Drinks Ginger Beer was sparkling, spicy and not too sweet. If you don’t mind a little heat, this drink is for you.

The next product was Beanitos Black Bean Chips ($1.20). This one little bag of chips has 20% of your daily recommended fiber intake. These chips can be paired with some homemade guacamole. Also perfect for dieters – Beanitos Chips are a great alternative to tortilla chips.

Cocomels Coconut Milk Caramels were simply delicious. It’s just a bonus that they are certified organic, dairy-free, gluten-free, non-GMO, vegan and Kosher. I can hear what you are thinking – no, there is no high fructose corn syrup in them! Here are the simple organic ingredients: coconut milk, brown rice syrup, dried cane syrup, sea salt, and xantham gum. That’s it  Yummy.

Natralia Anti-Itch Soothing Cream ($12.99) was the next product to try. I loved this stuff. It uses colloidal oatmeal and menthol to calm itchy and irritated skin. I had to clean out my mom’s basement over the last few days (think dark, dusty and mildewy). I felt itchy and gross even after a shower. I used this on my arms where the itchy feeling was the worst and the effect was immediate. The menthol was cooling and soothing and gave the colloidal oatmeal time to work and moisturize. The scent was pleasant, mild and minty.

Okay, this is the future. I am holding the future right here in my hand. It’s coffee, in a cube. Go Cubes Chewable Coffee ($2) is your grab n’ go coffee fix when you don’t have time to have your usual cup of joe. Two cubes pack the caffeine wallop of one cup of coffee. I am thinking these would be great to throw in your purse or keep in the car for days that you realize 5 minutes after heading out the door that your coffee is still sitting on the counter. The flavor wasn’t bad, but I prefer my coffee with cream and these are probably closer to a dark cup off black coffee with a little sugar.

Justin’s Snack Pack Honey Peanut Butter + Banana Chips ($2). These were good. The ingredients are all natural and mostly organic. I liked the convenient grab and go packaging. These would be great to keep in a drawer at work for a healthy snack. The bananas were crisp and lightly sweet, the peanut butter was plentiful and creamy.

Okay, they went there. Van Holten’s Pickle-Ice Pickle Flavored Freeze Pop ($.75) was in our Daily Goodie Box.  These are electrolyte enhanced and recommended as a sugar-free alternative to sports drinks. So, we all know people who like to drink the pickle juice out of the jar. This is the frozen treat for them. It tasted just like a dill pickle, salty with a dilly bite. Not my thing, but to each his own. Pickle juice drinkers should love it!

Here in the South, we identify ourselves by two things: the college football team that you support and what kind of mayonnaise that you use. What I am saying is that we are picky about our mayo. And, I approve of this Hampton Creek Just Mayo, it’s creamy with just the right mayonnaisy taste. Just don’t tell my grandmother.

Super food + Bar – Hemp Peanut Butter ($2). Did you know you could eat hemp? Legally, I mean. It’s actually made from hemp seeds that are supposed to be very good for you. Plus, other nutrient dense super foods, including cashews, almonds, sunflower seeds and quinoa. As an added bonus, they taste really good too. The bars are nutty and chewy and not overly sweet.

The second bar from Navitas was a Superfood + Bar – Cacao Cranberry ($2).  Both of these bars are made in small batches with certified organic ingredients. This bar reminded me of a healthy chocolate rice crispy treat. It does have crisped brown rice in it and it was delicious!

Lastly, in case any of the other goodies didn’t set well with you… Just kidding, they were all good. But, if for some other reason, you have bubbly guts, there was this tube of Gutsy Chewy fast acting oral & digestive supplement ($5) in the box. The main ingredient xylitol is good for your teeth and also for calming upset tummies. Other all-natural ingredients such as papaya, licorice root and apple cider vinegar work together to soothe digestive issues. The tablets are large and should be chewed slowly for the most benefit, but that’s not a problem because they have an effervescent citrus flavor that wasn’t chalky at all.  They really tasted more like candy than medicine.

Daily Goodie Box is a great way to try out new products and then share your opinion of those products.  The registration process was easy and the product review process was even easier. I love that you don’t have to pay for shipping or give any payment information at all and they send you some pretty fabulous products to try for free.  So, go, register! Good luck!

I just went to their site to subscribe. All I did was put in my name and email and the response was I “hadn’t been chosen” to get the boxes. Didnt even answer any demographic questions..

I am not sure why that would be except maybe all their campaigns are full at the moment. I would just keep checking back periodically.
