BookCase Club October 2016 Review & Coupon – Read to Me Case

BookCase.Club is a monthly book delivery service that sends handpicked book selections to your home. When you subscribe, you select one of 8 collections of books: Blind Date Case (2 paranormal romance novels), Strange Worlds Case (2 sci-fi/fantasy novels), Teenage Dreams Case (2 young adult novels), Thrill Seeker Case (2 mystery/thriller novels), Read to Me Case (4 children’s picture books), or Booking for Love Case (2 romance novels). They also offer quarterly military history and cookbook subscriptions. I selected the Read to Me Case.

This month’s package arrived well-packed with pieces of paper providing extra support during transport. Once I removed them, I was greeted by a delightful collection of illustrated children’s books. Both of my kids were so excited to see what was inside!

Along with the books, this month’s box arrived with an activity booklet. We don’t get much of an autumn here, but the weather has finally cooled off into the high 80s, which is a welcome relief!

These activities are perfect for my son! The only things he loves more than “coloring jobs and number games” are mazes. I love that each month brings new activities for my son to complete. He cannot get enough of them!

In addition to the activity sheet, the package contained four Halloween-themed picture books: “Little Goblins Ten” by Pamela Jane, “Halloween Surprise” by Corinne Demas, “Sipping Spiders Through a Straw: Campfire Songs for Monsters” by Kelly DiPucchio and “On a Windy Night” by Nancy Raines Day.

“Little Goblins Ten” by Pamela Jane ($14.49) is a delightful reimagining of the nursery rhyme, “Over in the Meadow,” for audiences at Halloween. Like all of the selections this month, my entire family enjoyed this very much.

“Halloween Surprise” by Corinne Demas ($12.18) is a sweet story of an industrious girl who takes a lot of time deciding on what she wants to be for Halloween. With each new idea, she gets to work creating. I love how the book just assumes that this is what happens at Halloween. As someone who hopes to instill a maker-mindset in her kids, I thought this book was excellent.

“Sipping Spiders through a Straw: Campfire Songs for Monsters” by Kelly DiPucchio ($8.24) was a lot of fun! My kids love listening to campfire songs, and they thought the new lyrics were a hoot!

“On a Windy Night” by Nancy Raines Day ($15.12) is a bit scary at first, but quickly turns into a cute tale of how we can misinterpret mysterious sounds and shapes. My son loved all of the onomatopoeia and hidden pictures in this one.

My kids love this subscription! Whenever the box arrives, my kids always gather around to see what goodies are inside. I’m thrilled that this subscription brings so much joy and quality family time to our home each month.

I really enjoyed this month’s Read to Me Case from BookCase.Club! All four of these books were new to us, and we will happily read them again and again. These books were all engaging and included great, age and seasonally appropriate messages and themes. The value is unbelievable too–roughly $50 worth of books for $14.99!
