I’ve been a Bespoke subscriber for a long time, and I have a nice selection of accessories and lifestyle items.

The front side introduced the items included in this curation. The featured item is a wool and leather laptop case.

The reverse side of the card always has the beginning of a useful article on some point of mastery related to the curation. This edition provided instructions to level up your networking skills.

Kiko Leather Laptop Case: The case is a combo of durable gray felt, which forms the main body, and pebbled black leather for the large outside pocket and handle. The rivets and zipper slider are silver colored.

I picked this one because it matches multiple accessories from Kiko that I’ve received in other boxes. 

It fits my MacBook Air very well – the laptop measures approximately 12 3/4″ x 9″ x 3/4″. The outside pocket has no closure, and the leather is sewn to the interior of the bag in the area near the handle, limiting the depth of the pocket in the center. It is still 6 1/2 ” deep in the center and 9″ on either side. The pebbled leather of the pocket covers almost the entire face of the bag (all but a < 1/2″ border), so it looks like a leather bag when carried.

The compartment for the laptop itself is completely constructed of felt, with the thick felt also serving as one side of the exterior – the one that faces you when the bag is carried.

The innovative handle is designed for the way we actually carry laptops – at least when we’re not carrying them around open! This makes the case harder to drop or snatch, and it feels very natural.

The laptop case itself has a very simple interior, but it comes with a separate organizer for your cords, chargers, USB cables, etc. It closes by securing the straps on brass colored pins. When rolled up, it fits easily into the pocket of the case.

The pocket at the end works for thumb drives and other small stuff. All the cords can be tucked under the leather band – the case then wraps up like a chef’s knife roll.

I thought this was a great kit. It is very functional, not over-styled or overly complex, and it will definitely see lots of use. The laptop bags I have laying around were designed for the clunky, hulking laptops of yore, so I was pleased at the prospect of updating to a more right-sized model. The look of the bag is great, and it would look appropriate in both the office or a coffee shop.

Bespoke Post remains one of my favorite guy-friendly subscriptions – they are constantly adding new themes to choose from, and the gear seems very relevant to me. I always feel like it is very useful, and I can’t wait to use it. The quality makes me feel like I am investing in my quality of life rather than justing getting something to set it aside.
