BeautyFIX is a monthly subscription box from Dermstore that sends you the latest skin care, hair care, and makeup products for $24.95 a month (or $34.95 for a one-time purchase). They feature full and travel sized products and promise the box will contain at least $100 worth of items. Everyone receives the same products, although makeup colors or scents may differ, but at least you will know what you’re getting if you decide to purchase the box after you see the contents.
FYI – you can subscribe to BeautyFIX and receive this exact box – it’s usually available all the way through the end of the month!
My products were wrapped in tissue paper and there was an information card on top. There were also some air pillow bags to keep the items from shifting. I received 8 items this month, most of them skin care.
The product information card gave the item name, what it is used for, and a coupon code for a shop purchase. This month’s theme was “Autumn Grace”.
Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Cleanser ($29) will be gifted to someone with younger skin. This cleanser has lemon and cherry juice, aloe gel, and several herbal extracts and is supposed to help acne-prone skin.
I skipped the conditioner and used a bit of Neuma neuStyling Smoothing Creme ($2.82) on my fine hair and was surprised to find that my hair was not only easy to comb but it didn’t weigh down my fine locks. It had a vanilla orange scent that was dreamy but faded fast.
Lash Food Phyto-Medic Eyelash Enhancer ($39) claims to deliver longer, stronger, and thicker lashes after 4-8 weeks of nightly use. I didn’t experience any discomfort or irritation with use.
Dermstore Lip Quench ($12) was one if my favorite products this month. I didn’t even know that The Dermstore carried their own line of products! The base is petrolatum, beeswax, and mineral oil and has a cherry scent and very light color and shine.
I have always wanted to try a product from dermalogica and here’s my chance! Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil ($12.75) is a light oil that helps reinforce the skin’s protective barrier plus it helps shield the skin from free radical damage. Fragrance-free but it does have a light rose scent.
I mostly ignore the skin below my chin so Replenix Neckletage ($15) will help me give that area some TLC. Ideal for getting rid of dark spots and fine lines while boosting texture and tone. I didn’t notice any scent.
Luzern Laboratories Serum Absolut WE3 ($46.67) is a light-weight serum that is ideal for all skin types and helps reverse signs of aging. Swiss apple stem cells are the touted miracle workers of this aloe-based product, however, I am confused about where it should be applied. The box says apply to the face, the website says to apply to the area around the eyes. Since my eyes are my biggest concern I will concentrate on that area for now.
Don’t you love it when you have wanted a specific product and then BAM!, it shows up in a box? I have longed for a compact to place in my purse for those eye emergencies, especially during allergy season. The Danielle Creations Pink Glitter Compact ($12.99) is perfect! I love that it has a regular mirror plus 2X magnification. They had me at pink glitter.
This is going in my purse ASAP.
This month’s box contained 8 items (3 of them full-sized!) and was worth a jaw dropping $170.23! Most of the items were appropriate for my skin and hair and that compact is perfect for my needs. I don’t fall for spectacular claims made on products but I must say that after using this month’s items my CC cream was easy to apply to my smooth skin and I had an extra glow about me all day long. Plus, pink glitter!
