Akibento October 2016 Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Nightmare

Akibento is a monthly Anime subscription box! They promise an epic shirt monthly and $60 in value over 6-8 items, all perfect for anime fans!

The Japanese characters at the bottom of the box reads “tsuzuku” or “To Be Continued” in English.

Power is the theme for this month and the items that are in this box are wonderful representations. Let’s take a look at what Akibento has chosen to represent this theme. 

The information card lists the items in the box and their pictures. In addition, there is also a selfie contest so you can show off how awesome you look with the items in this box.

Akibento Monthly Pin: The themed pin shows what could be best described as a “Nightmare.” Scary, but it is still a great looking pin!

Soul Body Pillow Case. This pillow case is meant for a body pillow. This is a box that is also meant for my daughter and neither of us are too enthused by this pillow case. I don’t mind a crazy action scene but these poses are a bit much.

Nightmare T-Shirt. Featuring Ken Kaneki and other nightmarish individuals that make your skin crawl. As always, another fantastic looking t-shirt.

Ken Kaneki Funko POP! Figure. From Tokyo Ghoul, comes another creepy item in the Nightmare box. This isn’t the last Kaneki item in this box. There is another Tokyo Ghoul character that you may receive instead of Kaneki.

Akibento Exclusive Item! What’s in the box?

Exclusive Ghoul Mask. I know that the body pillow case is weird but this one screams fetish. Not sure what to do with this.

Death Note Socks. There are two different pairs Akibento is including and this is the pair I received. We are always happy when socks or hats are included!

Lost Pause Sticker. Akibento included a bonus item. Who can say no to great looking stickers?

This month had a good curation and a great theme for an anime box, but it was a miss for us personally, because we subscribe for a younger girl. It’s always a good idea to take a look at boxes before passing them onto the kids!
