Walmart Beauty Box Fall 2016 Subscription Box Review

Walmart Beauty Box is a quarterly sample box – just $5 for the shipping and handling. It is not my favorite beauty box because it tends to be low value but if you want a sampling experience for items you can buy at Walmart, this is your box!

I like the fresh new look!

walmart-beauty-box-fall-2016-unboxedRemember that I’m over 35, so I get the “old lady box” based on my profile. Walmart now lets you select either the “classic” profile or the “trendsetter” profile. I just let mine be the classic profile and didn’t alter anything in my account.

FYI – some people report they can’t select it, I am not really sure why some can and can’t!

Here are all the items in the Walmart Beauty Box this Fall.

Village Naturals Concentrated Mineral Bath Soak ($0.67) I think a bath soak  like this – especially lavender chamomile menthol – is a great inclusion in a fall box! Perfect for tired bones! Remember this is the old lady box. We are just so ? .

Dove Purely Pampering Nourishing Body Wash ($0.45)

Vitabath Bath And Shower Gel ($1.03)

Plus two different shower gels! I liked the sweet cream with peony the best. Dove is a good solid brand. The Vitabath “spring green” is patchouli and pine, so I saved that one for the hubs.

Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream ($0.67)

Eucerin Eczema Relief Body Cream ($0.31)

Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Lotion ($0.24)

I love that they included 3 different moisturizers and creams to test. Some of them may be a little more “winter” but the idea is to try them out before you get there so you can decide on your purchase.  Again, solid familiar brands.

Swisspers Exfoliating Cotton Rounds ($1.80) I use exfoliating rounds for absolutely everything! Getting this pack is a great way to try this available at Walmart brand!

Dove Advanced Care Cool Essentials Deodorant ($0.94) I was happy to get this! I don’t care for baby powder scents but love cucumber. I am sure there is an armpit cocktail joke somewhere here but I am not going to make it.

Free Sample! Simple Micellar Cleansing Water ($0.12) I like this cleansing water – it’s an easy and gentle makeup remover!

Walmart isn’t winning the value award with this box, with just $6.23 in value. Plus there wasn’t a single cosmetic in this beauty box, although makeup removal items were included – maybe they think the classics are too old for makeup!

Sometimes the boxes are real winners and this one had useful items that I will use, but I think the value needs to increase to keep up with the other beauty boxes.

My box I received the soak therapy for tired leg and feet. The Vaseline lotion and the nspa coconut body butter. The same toothpaste and deodorant. But I did recieve the ROC 5in1 Chest, Neck and Face stuff. The Eucerin for the skin as well. And the same Dove body wash. But that was it. I did not recieve the other stuff.

Where I go to choose between classic and trensetter ?

This was the worst box i ever received. I got 3 of the samples of the 33¢ mini samples. And a deodorant roll on……how is that even close to $5. It would have nice if it had the body wash and exfoliating pads. I think if i get another box like this i will have to drop my subscription

Trendsetter didn’t have any makeup either, but did contain a bath soak (same brand, different fragrance), so that isn’t because “old ladies” are tired LOL. I get both boxes and it is fun to compare the two.
