Avenue Sweets Caramel Candy Assortment ($3.13) I always love Avenue Sweets – one of my favorite caramels. These were a bit melty when I received them.  I got Butter Rum, Cappucino,  Chocolate, Golden Vanilla, and Sea Salt. All the caramels are slow cooked in copper kettles for the most premium texture and taste.

Both pretty traditional hard candies – but clearly artisan made. I really loved the shapes. The Grape was really truly excellent but eating the cherry right after, it was hard to suss out that flavor. Eat one at a time!

I thought they were really tasty – I love candy that really tastes natural.

Torn Ranch Toffee Macadamia Cookies ($5)

The Toffee Mac cookies shipped well – the shortbread style lent themselves easily to being sent in a subscription box. I nibbled one but they’re my husband’s style, so I saved them for him.

The card called the chocolate chip cookies a delicate version of what you’d find at grandma’s. Unfortunately the chippers were all broken up  kind of like the bottom of grandma’s cookie jar. They tasted pretty much like my grandma’s – and she does straight up Tollhouse.

This box was only so-so for me. I loved the candies this month – but I wish the cookies were a little more wow. I have an annual subscription so it’s not a big deal, but I would love this box to wow me more frequently.
