Tonttu Box September 2016 Subscription Box Review + Coupon

Tonttu Box is a monthly subscription that delivers between five and seven gifts to your home for parent and child to enjoy. Selections may include unique handmade finds, children’s books, educational toys, treats and spa products, all designed to spoil both parent and child! Tonttu Box supports small, local artisans whenever possible and loves to give back! If members so desire, they can fill their empty Tonttu box with baby products they’re not going to use (not Tonttu Box products, of course, as they’ll be used!) and send the box back to Tonttu Box, which will in turn send the box to children in need.

Each shipment arrives well-packaged, encased in neatly-folded tissue paper.

The tissue paper arrives fastened together with a beautiful sticker.

The theme for September was Queen Mommy! This box is all about relaxing, recharging, having fun and and those special things that make us feel great!

This month’s shipment included a stuffed animal, brow balm, bath bombs and a book for children.

The theme was displayed prominently on the enclosed piece of paper. I love how great Tonttu Box’s introductory letter makes me feel each month!

The paper also included a list of the contents of the box and their values as well as a coupon code for orders from C’est Ça New York. Awesome!

The enclosed notecard this month made me smile. I certainly hope that, despite my inability to keep a tidy home, my kids are happy and healthy!

Spruce and Fresh’s Four Petite Bath Bombs ($12) are gorgeous bath bombs styled after petite fours with a hand-painted gold shimmer on top.They possess a wonderful powder fresh rose scent that permeated this month’s Tonttu box. As soon as I opened the box, I just had to find the source of the lovely smell! I loved how, after bathing with these, my skin became soft and picked up a hint of the lovely, delicate scent. Spruce and Fresh recommends using one bath bomb for a pedicure and all four for a luxurious bath fit for the queen herself.

Sauce for Skin’s Baby Balm ($7), otherwise known as “Sweet Cheeks Sauce,” is made from avocado oil, shea butter fruit, coconut oil, beeswax, tapioca starch polymethylsilsesquioxane, cetyl alcohol and tocopherols. This moisturizer can be used all over the body and can help tame itchy and inflamed skin. It felt a bit oily when applied.

I loved “Toby is My Bear” by Teacher Kira ($13.98). This book spoke to what my son and I have been discussing every day. I loved the question prompts in the book and how my son and I were able to use this book as a jumping off point for discussing possible solutions to conflict. Later in the day when my son and daughter started to argue over a toy, I asked my son to think back about this book and what we had discussed to come up with solutions to his conflict with his sister.

I like how Tonttu box includes information about select retailers that they think their customers might be interested in. This month, I received C’est Ça New York’s card along with a discount code for orders.

Green Touch Beauty’s Brow Growth Balm ($34.50 on sale for $28.50) is a coconut-scented all-natural brow treatment and primer in one. It’s designed to improve the look, shine and quality of your existing eyebrows. In addition to holding brows in place, this botanical cream also stimulates hair growth by encouraging microcirculation in areas where it has been applied.

I thought the Margaret the Owl with Coffee Cuddly Doodle by Orangeni ($10.92) was very cute! She’s easy to hold and, thanks to the bath bombs, smells great. My daughter loves her “Hoo Hoo” too! I look forward to using the pouch she came in to help contain some of my daughter’s smaller toys.

I thought my fourth Tonttu Box was fabulous! Each of the products was useful, unique and produced in limited quantities. As a whole, this box felt indulgent and fun all at the same time! I can’t wait to see what they send out next month!
