PA Anna: Powered Geek surprised us with a new box design this month! What do you think of it? Share below!

T (age 17): Hey a new box design! I see Wolverine, something that looks like a Star Wars droid, Pac-Man, Batman, Mario, and I don’t recognize the last one, but I’m sure it’s a from a great fandom.

The August Powered Geek box looks amazing!!!

PA Anna: J (age 7) thinks the Funko POP! Keychain World of Warcraft Murloc ($4.17) is the coolest looking fishman ever. World of Warcraft launched its Legion Expansion Pack on August 30th.  Has anyone tried it out yet?

T: Well this guy looks cool! I don’t play World of Warcraft, but I heard it’s great. The Murlocs are thought to be an ancient race in the World of Warcraft series.

PA Anna: I haven’t seen Suicide Squad, but Harley Quinn looks like the belle of the ball in the decal. The Batman Joker Air Freshener ($6.73) appears to be more of a novelty item than an air freshener. I couldn’t place the scent beyond that it smelled like a light, clean, linen scent.

T: Do I <3 Harley Quinn? YES!! This is great! I don’t know what to do with this, since doesn’t look like I can put it anywhere. But “bats” off to this! (True fans get it)

An air freshener! Always good. And it doesn’t smell too strong either (looking at YOU Toad!) It’s the Joker, more specifically right after he gets out of the chemical waste and sees his new self in The Killing Joke movie and graphic novel. It’s a good movie on the origin story of the Joker, and if you haven’t seen it I recommend you do (just not with young ones)

PA Anna: It’s the Hydra symbol!

T: It’s a cool pin. Hydra is S.H.I.E.L.D’s enemy.

PA Anna: The Batman Villains Playing Cards ($7.22) blows me away with its DC Comics original artwork. The detailed cards are stunning.

T: I’m really impressed with this deck. They managed to include just about every main Batman villain (if there is such a thing) in this. Lots of recognizable people from the Arkham games. The cards were also really nice quality, which is great because some of the card games I play with my friends can be intense.

PA Anna: The Suicide Squad Original Minis Blind ($4.97) was a hit with the boys. Blinds are always fun.

T: Captain Boomerang. I’m sorry, but when I see Jai Courtney, I still think of Eric from Divergent. I wish he had a boomerang in his hand.

PA Anna: The world has gone mad! The Joker is featured in the POP! Heroes product line.  The POP! Heroes Suicide Squad The Joker (shirtless) ($7.14) is rich in detail.

T: Wow! They did an amazing job on this POP! figure. They got the Arkham sweatpants, silver teeth, the one purple glove, a lot of the tattoos, even on the back of his arm. They went all out. This is fantastic! The Joker will appear in Justice League Part 1 coming 2017.

PA Anna: The Godzilla “King of Monsters” T-shirt ($12.00) is a licensed t-shirt that feels soft. T and I watched a few Godzilla movies together.

T: This shirt is nice! They’re keeping it OG with old time Godzilla wrecking havoc. The shirt fits great, and the color is a great choice. Love it!

PA Anna: He will not admit it, but the shirt makes him feel sentimental about when we used to watch the Godzilla movies together. Now it is all about Marvel.

T’s Final Thoughts: The box was an awesome Suicide Squad box!

PA Anna’s Final Thoughts: The August Powered Geek Box was amazing.  The Suicide Squad items made the box! T loves the Godzilla t-shirt, and J is keeping the Murloc keychain because it is a cool fishman. The variety is great and features popular fandoms. Powered Geek Box is an excellent gamer/geek box for teenagers and adults!
