Jack & Lucy Bicoastal Wide Brim Hat ($58) So excited to see another hat – my summer hat from a few years ago is my favorite POPSUGAR Must Have Box item ever – will this one take its place?
It’s definitely a bold choice but you can adjust the look by tilting the hat – a little more country, wear it forward! A little more urban style, tilt it back – although you may want to use some bobby pins to help it stay on! The hat itself features a little swirl on the front.
FYI – If Jack & Lucy sounds familiar, yes it was the brand that produced the gloves for January 2015 box. It’s just private label PSMH.
The hat is 100% wool with an adjustable brim to fit your head perfectly. I found the hat to be quite large – surprisingly so, because I have a big head!
NCLA Mani-ER Tool Kit ($16). Almost everyone can use an emergency mani kit! 
I’m going to be honest and say I’m not sure what all the tools are for – cleaning under your nails? Scooping back your cuticles?
I wish a little more information was included but the set sure is cute!
Smith & Cult Lip Lacquer in The Warning ($22) This is a beautiful semi-sheer red with a hint of shimmer. As always, the Smith & Cult packaging is totally gorgeous.
It’s also vegan, gluten-free, and tastes sweet!
Also a bold choice, but I think it will work for a lot of women – what did you think of the gloss?
Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask ($36). This is a pretty frequent box item and it works great for my fine hair. Not everyone loves it but I like it! It uses argan and avocado oils to reduce frizz, which I sometimes have even with my fine hair! It’s full size so it’s going to last me forever and a day.
I always use this product as an in-shower mask (almost like a conditioner) and leave it on a few minutes before rinsing out. You can also work it into your locks, cover up with a shower cap, and apply heat for extra-strength hydration.
Flint Lint Roller ($10). Well, it’s a lint roller. A pretty, sophisticated lint roller, but a lint roller. If you use one you’ll probably like this one! If you don’t, you’ll probably do like me and pass it on to a friend.
The lint roller uses 30-sheet refills that are made from high-quality Japanese paper – it really is the nicest lint roller I’ve ever seen. It would have been great to get some extra refills to make this product last a little bit longer!
I do love the idea of 1UP-ping every day boring products with the very best version possible!
The Gluten Free Bites Dark Chocolate Coconut Bites ($5). I love that this is a filling snack made with mostly organic ingredients with a protein blend for some extra nutrition.
The bites have a chocolate date center and are studded with toasted coconut. I wasn’t wild about the taste, but my kids were happy to accept them as lunch box donations! I do admit – I prefer the more decadent versions of my tasty goods! These are very dense and you really don’t need more than one!
With a $147 value this box had plenty going for it – but risked being a miss if you hate the hat. And while I’m fine with the value of the wool hat for a private label brand (it *is* a wool hat), I’m not so sure about the increased use of private label items, most especially in the fall limited edition box. Overall I liked this box – it had a few great new finds, a fabulous red for the lips, and a fun hat! If you can’t bring yourself to work it into your style, perhaps it’s a good Halloween item?
