Norsebox Fall 2016 Subscription Box Review

Norsebox is a quarterly subscription box that brings handpicked Scandinavian-influenced household wares made by known designers. The subscription costs $54.00 per quarter + $15 shipping US ($32 to Canada and $60 to the UK), and each box follows a seasonal theme. You’ll get 1-5 lifestyle and home goods that are valued for more than $70.

The information card shows the item details, as well as a discount code for your next purchase on their website.

The Fall 2016 Box theme was Fika – the Swedish term for taking a break (which seems to me like tea time!). This box encourages you to take a break and enjoy the moment!

Everything in my Fall 2016 Norsebox!

Marimekko Rasymatto Rectangular Plates ($50) I was excited to see Marimekko plates in this box. The graphics from this design shop are truly iconic and distinctive!

These plates were inspired by rag rugs and were designed by Maija Louekari in 2009. Perfect for a snack!

Stelton Theo Mugs With Coasters ($50).  These mugs are accompanied by perfect fit bamboo coasters and are made of black-brown stoneware with a cast-iron finish.

I was a little surprised at how Asian-design influenced these mugs were, so I wasn’t surprised to see that noted on the card.

While I loved the summer box, I wasn’t so crazy over the fall box. Although I appreciate that everything came in a set of 2, I wasn’t in love with the design of the mugs like I was the glassware in the Summer box. This subscription notes in their FAQ “The boxes will progress around the home to give each room a fresh, Scandinavian update.” This was two quarters in a row in the kitchen, and I was hoping for something a little different.
