Nerd Block Jr. Boys Subscription Box Review & Coupon – August 2016

Nerd Block Jr is a subscription box for boys or girls ages 6-11 (you pick the box – boy or girl) that is a monthly surprise of fun little toys for kids. They’re part of the Nerd Block Family – check any of them out here.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Creepez ($15.70) We got Michelangelo and this is really fun. There are a ton of youtube videos out there of Creepez crawling down the walls. The ninja turtles have been around a long time and I still love them. I love enjoying the new version with my boys while I still remember standing in line at the movie theater to see the original movies with my brothers.  The lines at the movie theater used to be so long but we did it for each one. The boxes included one of the 4 turtles in each box.

25th anniversary Sonic the Hedgehog button set – It is so hard to believe that Sonic is 25 years old. I cannot be that old but my boys ran off with this one too.  They are all into anything that can decorate their backpacks and my oldest loves video games so he claimed this as his own.

Zorbz Self-Sealing Water Balloons ($6.99) – I’m hoping they work great and I’m reading that they do but they don’t stay sealed for long since they use a dissoluble cap as the sealant so we will need to fill and use them pretty fast.

Nerf N-Strike Jolt ($5.99) My boys love Nerf. So much in fact that we have a weapon tote here that is full of Nerf guns and bullets.  This will for sure make it into the bin and is perfect since we have a different small one that they fight over so this will give us a second for them to use. The box had one of three colors in the boxes.

Spider-Man puzzle and pencil case – My boys are both back in school and my youngest loves cases to put things in. He has already ran off with this one and put the puzzle in a baggie so he could put his toys in the pencil case.  The boxes this month either included the Spider-man one we got or the Avengers. We would have been happy with both options.

Spider-man temporary Tattoos ($1.97) – These are so exciting and another awesome item. My boys love temporary tattoos and can’t wait to put these on. I told them we would dig into them this weekend and I’m sure they will be all tatted up for Labor Day. Again as with the pencil case the boxes included either Spider-man, Batman, or the Avengers.

5 pack Star Wars Pens ($4.99) – I’m not sure what age kids really start using pens but my 3rd grader is obsessed with them. He’s been doing his homework in pen lately and I don’t mind since it seems to have him think a bit more before writing since he can’t easily erase what he wrote down. He is excited to use these in his journal.

There’s also a $10 coupon included when you purchase from ShirtPunch! After you use your code SAVE YOUR CARD – you have to try to collect all 9 pieces to get a completed puzzle and get a $100 card. I’m betting there will be only a few linchpin puzzle pieces – most of the pieces I’ve received have identical backs.

Shirt Punch has shirts as low as $10 (shipping $6), so you can get a shirt around $6, which is an awesome deal, but I love the daily bundles they have!  I usually hate things I have to spend extra money on, but I’m totally ok with spending $4 for a shirt or about $9 for a shirt + Pop.

This is a great box this month and my boys are all over it.  Originally Nerd Block had sent us the girl box as a mistake but they quickly sent out a new boy box for use since that is what we are supposed to be getting. This one hits all the fun fandoms that my boys love and lots of fun goodies that they can play with and use around the house. They have already ran off with a couple of them and we are going to dig into the rest this weekend.
