Luxe Box is a quarterly beauty box curated by the same people behind Topbox. While the regular Topbox only ships within Canada, Luxe Box has a US version as well. Both boxes are $26 with free shipping and are sent out every three months. Luxe Box offers some customisation options as boxes are being prepared, usually allowing subscribers to choose a foundation shade or a preference for nail polish, for example.

Product information and spoilers are sent via email prior to shipping; this month we were informed we would also be receiving the Unilever Trends Limited Edition Topbox as a complimentary gift! Normally the Luxe Box fits inside a standard sized apartment mailbox, but both boxes were shipped together this quarter and I had to go collect them due to the size.

First look! The items are sent in a silky drawstring bag, and an additional item that wouldn’t fit was tucked underneath.

Coastal Scents Blush & Bronzer Mini Palette ($9.77 USD) This palette has popped up in a few subscription boxes lately!

My relationships with palettes is a tricky one. Unless I’m going to use everything, I don’t bother with them. The only colour I can conceivably see looking good on me is the top right colour, and while I might depot it into a z-palette, the rest is going to my sister who can actually rock bronzer. (Pale girls sing it with me!)

Eyeko Fat Eye Stick in “Smoky” ($12 USD) I actually couldn’t find this product anywhere on Eyeko’s website, which leads me to believe it might be discontinued. Glossybox sells a different shade, so the pricing is based on that other colour. This is a smooth, pigmented slightly shimmery/sparkly black which makes a great smokey eye once you blend it out. It’s not long-lasting — it does smudge, but I think that’s the intent of the product.

gorge* I’ll make you look amazing ($7.50 USD) This leave in conditioner is exactly what I need right now, because this summer heat has got my hair flat as a pancake when I use heavy conditioner. Plus it’s travel size — I’m stocking up on minis for my trip to Cali next month! gorge* actually has a subscription for their haircare and will send you a fresh bottle monthly, which is neat!

Jing Ai Velvet Shine Lip Jewel in “Champagne” ($22 USD) Jing Ai (which means Pure Love in Mandarin) is a beauty brand focusing on organic beauty products made of high quality materials. Every shade of their products is named after a type of rose! This lip pencil is a peachy shade and is actually pretty pigmented, which surprised me. I don’t see the Champagne shade on their website so it may be a limited edition or discontinued shade.

Ciate Mural Moment Polish ($15) This polish is from Ciate’s 2014 collection inspired by the mosaics in the subways of New York. It’s a very cool idea!

Make Up Forever Ultra HD Foundation ($6.80) We were able to choose what shade of foundation we needed; this is 115 “Ivory” which is a pretty close match for my fair skin. I don’t wear foundation because I am luckily blessed with great skin, but I like how light and weightless this felt.

Bellapierre Cheek and Lip Stain in Coral ($20.00) I’m not a big fan of Bellapierre’s cheek/lip stain; I find it a bit hard to apply so I’ll be passing this on to my sister! I really love the colour, and think it’s great for fall.

Swatches of the items I’m keeping for myself — MUFE HD foundation, Eyeko fat eye stick, Jing Ai lip jewel.

The Fall Luxe Box had a total value of $93 USD! I was a bit disappointed that some of the products were discontinued, as usually these are obtained at a deep discount and bring down the true value of the box. I’m very excited for the samples of hair conditioner and foundation and the other items will make their way into stockings for Christmas. The products that turn up in Topbox frequently end up in Luxe Box as well due to both now being owned by the same company, so there is a bit of overlap if you get both boxes.
