Loot Crate DX is a monthly subscription box from Loot Crate. It’s themed with the regular Loot Crate spoilers, except it contains premium next level loot for discerning geeks! It’s like a special edition box from Loot Crate – every month!
The bottom of the box says “WE DON’T NEED ROADS.”
The box comes with a tri-fold booklet with information about Loot Crate’s community features on the back. Check out the theme experience hub here.
SPEED was the theme for the September box!
The information card gives you a list of all the items in the box. It’s super sturdy and some parts were highlighted with a nice gloss.
Some items were OMG GIMME NOW and some items left me scratching my head!
Loot Crate DX Monthly Pin: This month’s pin was a hot rod, and compliments the regular Loot Crate pin – no fandom though.
It has two pin backs so it will stay properly oriented.
This is a pretty neat coffee table read – and it’s not just cool artwork. There’s a lot of text here and you can really sit down and read the book.
Super 7 Paper Airplane Raglan: Am I missing something?
The card says “we salute the simple joy of a perfect paper flight with this shirt.” It’s Gildan heavy cotton, which I don’t care for, and the shirt doesn’t match the card (this is grey heather, the card shows blue). I think I want to say this was an all-around miss for me.
Transformers Messenger Bag: I loved the bag that was in Halo Legendary Crate and I was happy to see another bag here, even though we got a duffel a few months ago. I love Transformers! What geek doesn’t?!
The inside has a nice organizer, and a Loot Crate DX exclusive patch & pattern on the inside and the bag features magnetic clasps.
Love Optimus. Who doesn’t?!
I didn’t get a full pattern on the inside flap, but it was still neat. There’s a nice padded laptop holder too.
The strap, quite frankly, mystified me & my husband. We did theorize that you could use it as a giant fanny pack. But no, it’s a courier bag and designed to go over your shoulder and orient almost like a backpack.
Hopefully this helps you figure out how to put it on. Unfortunately it covers up the patch on the cool Loot Wear soccer jersey. Whoops (review of that coming soon). The secondary strap prevents the main one from digging into your neck.
Back To The Future 1:24 Scale DeLorean Replica ($21.89) I’m not going to lie, this is one of the greatest items ever. I’m so in love with it.
If you don’t know anything about Back to the Future (?!) there’s a quick synopsis on the box.
If you’re not into cars or Back to the Future, you may proceed to scroll, because I went a little crazy. I had SO much fun with this item!
MUST REACH 88 MPH!
A look inside.
The details on this are incredible.
And yes, it rolls!
I have mixed feelings on this month’s box – there were only 3 IPs in the entire box but they were really good ones, and I loved the bag and double mega good loved the car.
We are still waiting for October Loot Crate DX franchise/theme spoilers – check here to see if they’re up!
