LaRitzy is a monthly vegan beauty subscription box. They have recently changed their model – you’ll get 3 full-size cruelty-free beauty products in every month’s box from LaRitzy brand for $28.49. On month-to-month subscriptions the shipping cost is $5, free on longer term subscriptions. Shipping is $6.99 to Canada. Subscriptions come with a 10% off shop benefit as well.

All the products from this brand are cruelty-free, paraben-free. Note that they use either synthetic or cruelty-free beeswax. Depending on your level of veganism, this subscription may not be appropriate for actual vegans.

The information sheets gives a list of the items in the box. This subscription shipped in a plain padded mailer with a packing slip.

All the items in the LaRitzy Box for September!

Camouflage Cover Cream in Orange: This isn’t on their site and there was no information card. I’m at a loss. I guess it’s supposed to maybe even out dark circles? It’s orange.

As far as I know even for deep dark circles orange doesn’t really work for super light skin – orange works best for olive-dark skin tones.

Cream Dust Eye Shadow ($16) A triple-milled basic neutral shadow.  I liked the very fine shimmer (see the swatch below). It was very subtle!

I think there was greater attention to the ingredients in the other two products. I’d like to see them include fruit extracts like Tarte & Pacifica.

Malted Mauve Lip Pencil ($18) The color of this lip pencil was in the previous month’s subscription, so I can’t say for certain if I received a particular month, or if they just put 3 products in a bag and sent them to me.

The pencil is plant oil based and the combination of wax and oils was just right to glide on and stick. This was a nice pencil.

Fuzzy pictures, this is after removing with a makeup wipe. The lip pencil and concealer really stuck on.

This subscription is nice for someone looking for pretty much only makeup. I wish there had been more information on the products, especially the concealer. I’m confused why I received an item that was in their August boxes.

I cancelled after receiving the lip box. The quality just wasn’t there and I wasn’t at all excited about what I received. I would not recommend LaRitzy since they made the change. I actually tried to get a refund because I felt a bit ripped off considering that their previous boxes were so nice and the box I received did not resemble in any way, shape, or form what was advertised previously in their promotions around the web.

Jill, try the Vegan Cuts quarterly makeup box. Different from their monthly beauty box. This month i got four fabulous full size products: cream eyeshadow, lipgloss, gorgeous highlight powder, and a $75 face primer! Plus we got to choose colors!

Thanks! I’ll have to give that one a try. I got one of the Vegan Cuts grab bag boxes a couple months ago and loved most of what I got.

I have to say, I’ve hated the two makeup boxes I’ve gotten from LaRitzy (and I’ll be getting one more, since I’d had a 3-month recurring sub–already cancelled!) Didn’t like the lip products in the first box, and I also have fair skin, so the orange concealer didn’t work for me. I don’t like liquid eyeliner. I may use the eyeshadow, but I have others in similar colors from Bare Minerals. I loved LaRitzy before they changed to only their own brand of cosmetics. Guess I’ll be on the lookout for a new natural product box.
