Instead of pushing low maintenance for the busy month of September, Ipsy decided that we can spend as much time on ourselves as everything (and everyone) else!

The theme for September was Glamazon! The bag had a fun metallic design.

Everything in my bag for September!

Coastal Scents Elite Bamboo Collection Medium Shadow Brush ($5?). This brush has a bamboo handle and is nice and long. The medium shadow brush is perfect for lid application!

Rodial Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Tonic ($6.30). Rodial is a fairly ritzy British brand and I’m really intrigued by this item – a soothing toner with hyaluronic acid, which plumps your skin! This is more of a tonic spray than a toner, which is fantastic, because I love facial sprays and mists (I love toner too!). The sprayer on this one was really aggressive though, hold very far away. It has a mild rose scent, not too strong.

Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme ($10). Whoah, tingly! This has quite a bite, but also has vitamin E, MaxiLip (“stimulates collagen production and hyaluronic acid synthesis”, and Dehydrated Marine Sponge to plump.

Unfortunately the ingredients are really not great (paraben) so I probably wouldn’t try it out again. Oh well, I’ll have to console myself by browsing the holiday collections (yes really – they’ve already been released!).

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day (Phd) 5-In-1 Styling Treatment ($7.50) I just got a Living proof product in my Sephora Play! box so I feel like these two subscriptions are really in a lot of competition. It uses 2 patented molecules to shield strands against humidity, smooth, and add-shine instead of weighing it down while adding volume and bounce. Great for my fine hair!

Trestique Mini Highlight Stick in Maldives ($6.48).  This cap always throws me off! Trestique caps make it appear as if your product is open and it’s a great trick! This mini highlighter applied just like silk and the light champagne color is gorgeous!

This is a great subtle highlighter for someone with light skin like mine – I would love to see this swatched on dark skin, I think it would be gorgeous.

For all items but the Too Faced (the ingredients really bummed me out) I was really pretty excited about all of them! My Ipsy bags have been consistently very good, and there were 3 top-tier brands in my bag this month.  The bag had a value of $35.28, which is good for just $10, but not nearly the value of my previous bags.

I’m jealous. My September bag, according to the “peek” since it hasn’t actually arrived, looks like the kind of stuff you can request from a hotel front desk for free. The only makeup items are the mascara- exciting, the product I am most likely to already own, & that highlighter stick. Although your review did me feel better about the highlighter! It looks much nicer swatched out than on the pencil. No one else seems to be getting a bag so devoid of fun. The bag is ugly this month, too, imo. Incredibly disappointing. This was my first & last month as an Ipsy customer. I am just so bummed about the whole thing :'(

I got the Living Proof, Trestique and Too Faced products, plus a serum from Avene and a shadow from Dirty Little Secret. Another ‘meh’ bag for me as I won’t even be trying the lip plumper (HATE these, ick) but the serum is not bad and I’m going to see if the Living Proof will do anything for my curly hair. I don’t really highlight but I’ve liked some of the previous Trestique products I’ve tried so will see what it does for me.

i was disappointed that I didn’t get the Two-Faced lip plumper! how come the Glam bags vary in products? And i thought if you left a review you got to try other products on top of your momthly Glam bag? I didn’t get any of the products in the bag you are showing. I love getting my Ipsy Glam bag every month.but I would like to get the products that are being reviewed. Thank-you!

You get things in your bag that are supposed to be based on the quiz you filled out (this is not reliable, though). Brandy & I often get the same things, but this month my bag is completely different from hers – and I’m glad, because several of the things she got are things I’d hate. I got Trust Fund Beauty nail polish in a pretty color called Champagne Socialite, dirty little secret eye shadow “Teaser,” Nuxe Creme fraiche de beaute masque, it Superhero mascara and Buff Her vanilla almond crumbles foaming food facial scrub. (Brandy, it sounds edible – rice powder, sucrose, sweet almond oil, vanilla bean seeds and sodium cocoyl isethionate whiich is supposed to be coconut derived).

You get points for reviewing things, which you can then redeem for extra items. My extra this month from points is em color facets shadow top coat called angelic luster.

By the way, since I used my free bags deals I now have 5 more to give to anyone who wants to sign up. Sigh. I really am going to cancel ipsy soon, though, since I have far more makeup than I can use for the foreseeable future.
