Gentleman’s Box Review & Coupon – September 2016

Gentleman’s Box is a monthly men’s subscription box – including the required essentials for the savvy man.  Each month includes a copy of GQ, which is delivered separately to subscribers.  Boxes contain selected items ranging from style to grooming.

Each box includes a copy of “The Gentleman’s Post. A well-designed booklet of the products and descriptions. It also includes an editors note, a short blurb about the month’s collection, a crossword puzzle, a cocktail recipe, and member features.

Each month dedicates to someone who has had a significant influence on culture or fashion.  This month’s collection is to “Our Favorite All-American Author.” Inspired by Ernest Hemingway!

Gentlemen Essentials Lion Head Bracelet ($19): Accessory heaven here I come. I love this Lion Head bracelet. It has mad beads and gold lion heads. Now I may be a little picky, but I did notice that the image show in the book didn’t look like what I got. The beads had more crevices in them and not as smoothed like the one I received. Maybe there are different kinds. Either way, I still like it.

Urban Professor Mantra Journal ($20): I love this leather/matte journal. The quote is by Hemingway who said “Never Confuse Movement with Action”. It’s a soft cover book and has lined pages inside.

Architect for Men Blueprint Shampoo: This shampoo uses cleansing agents from natural resources to help break down excess oil in hair. I’m not a big fan of the smell. However, seems like it can have some type of clay or licorice in it.

Wolf Clothing Co. Gold Feather Lapel Pin ($20): How amazing is this? This is right down my ally. I wore this with my black blazer and the compliments came flooding in. This is definitely a conversation starter.

Evoke Patriot Socks ($24): These socks are 80% cashmere, 18% polyester, and 2% elastane. Not a big fan of the colors, but I can’t resist my love for socks!

Overall I’m in love with this box. I opened it up and literally screamed. Yes, I screamed. I feel like the socks was a bit of a mood kill. Only because the other items in black just made it feel so luxe and I didn’t really see the adding to this curation.
