degustabox_sept2016_box

DegustaBox is a monthly subscription box that brings your favorite food and snacks. The subscription costs $19.99 per month in the US, £12.99 per month in the UK and you’ll get a box filled with 10-15 products and goodies! I want to say this box as even heavier then last months and I could not wait to check it out.

I love the inside of this box. The words on the box and then the brown butcher style paper wrapping the goodies.  Everything inside is all wrapped up and kept safe and sound for travel. There is so much bubble wrap in here and all the glass bottles were very secure.

degustabox_sept2016_info1

The information sheet provides details about all the items included in the box.

degustabox_sept2016_recipe

The back of the sheet also came with recipes you can make using the products inside. This looks delicious and since I’ve seen the movie I actually do know what a Ratatouille is and I can’t wait for it to cool down here so I can try it out.

degustabox_sept2016_everything

Everything in the September box!

degustabox_sept2016_popcorners

popCORNers ($2.56) I was so exited when I saw these since I love POPChips and these are so tasty.  They are gluten free, non-GMO certified, and vegan which I won’t be telling my boys or they won’t want to eat it but they do love these too and they will be gone fast.

degustabox_sept2016_sparklingbitters

Sparkling Bitters ($1.99) I’m very intrigued by this and can’t wait to try it. I however need all my drinks to be cold so this one is going into the fridge and I will grab it out from there. I do actually like bitters so that isn’t an issue but I’m not sure about grapefruit mint.  The boxes came with one of five flavors: Classic Aromatic, Meyer Lemon, White Peach, Grapefruit Mint & Pear Ginger.

degustabox_sept2016_toosum

toosum oatmeal bar ($1.61) I’m going to say I am not an oatmeal bar kind of person. I just don’t love them and with that I passed this onto my neighbors who have gluten-free kids so I know they will add this to their snack stash.  These are just 100 calories, low in sugar with no refined sugars and are certified gluten-free, non-GMO and have no artificial anything.

degustabox_sept2016_bustanut

BustaNUT! flavored peanuts ($1.49 each) I’m so giddy every time I read this name.  They just make me giggle and I can’t help it. I like peanuts and these are good and flavorful and get points for making me happy after my day.

degustabox_sept2016_pasta

Sam Mills Gluten Free Corn Quinoa Fusilli pasta ($2.39) This is another item I passed to my neighbor as it’s gluten free and has 100% natural ingredients and is free from:wheat, soy, egg, dairy, tree nuts, nuts, fish and shell fish.  It is also non-GMO and kosher.  They are always trying new gluten-free products and are excited for this one.  On a random side note my youngest takes pasta each day for school lunch and if you ask him what his favorite kind is he always says fusilli.  It is his preferred pasta and I find it so funny that my 5 year old actually knows the name of it and tells people all about it.

degustabox_sept2016_littlebites

Entenmann’s Chocolate Chip Little Bites muffins($4.69 for a box) – The info sheet suggests sending these as a school snack and I’ll say I’ve never thought of that. We actually buy these muffins in different flavors pretty regularly and we love them. They are so yummy and a perfect size.

degustabox_sept2016_periperi

Nando’s Peri-Peri Sauce ($3.49) Yay! a hot sauce.  I love different hot sauces and will add them to random things all the time. I’m not sure my family likes it as much but I think its delicious.

degustabox_sept2016_englishprovender

The English Provender Co ($2.45 each) – These look so interesting and sound delicious. I’m going to have to step up my food game next week so we can try them all out. They are great chutneys that will go great with meats and really about anything. The curd will be delicious with some waffles and/or pancakes or you can stir it into some vanilla ice cream. I think it sounds like a breakfast for dinner night coming up.

degustabox_sept2016_cookies

Michel et Augustin Shortbread cookies ($1.99 each) Yummy yummy. I may have actually finished a pack of these already tonight and am really having to hold myself back from eating the other one. They were the perfect size and so tasty.

degustabox_sept2016_onepot

Hak’s Paks One Pot rustic ratatouille ($3.99) – This is the product the recipe above uses. I can’t wait for it to cool down around here so that I can make some soup. It is just too hot for me to even think soup right now but I know its coming soon and I’m jumping at the bit for it.

degustabox_sept2016_zollidrops

Zollidrops ($4.99) – My boys gave these two thumbs up when I asked them to come and try a new candy. These were created by an 11 year old and are a natural way to help reduce tooth decay and dry mouth.  They are sugar free, gluten free, vegan, kosher and made with natural flavors and colors in the USA but best of all is that rating from my boys. They love their candy and if they are fans then they must be good.

degustabox_sept2016_honeybunchesoats

Honey Bunches of Oats Honey Roasted ($2.83) This is not on the info sheet but was in the box. We got a box of cereal last month and then another one this month. I still find it very funny to get cereal in a subscription box. I don’t think of them as a snack foods but then I remember when I used to take cereal for the kids to munch on and I vividly remember taking dry cereal in the car with me to high school and eating on the way there so I’m not sure why I should think things would be any different.

This is a great box and there are already so many things that we know we like and then so many new to us things that I can’t wait to try out. We will be upping our cooking game this week and trying out some of the more cookable items.  I love that it is a mix of sizes of products from sample to full size and also a mix of companies we already know and ones we can’t wait to try.
