Covet Crate is a monthly women’s subscription box geared to professional women sending items that a busy and stylish woman will actually use and appreciate! Every month you will receive carefully curated items geared toward the professional woman’s lifestyle to help empower, motivate, inspire, and encourage you. There are two versions of this box – the Girl Boss box or the Lady Boss box.
Lady Boss Box ($84.95): The lady boss has experience in her industry. She is at the top of her game and is looked up to by her peers. Neutrals and bold, monochromatic colors make her feel in control of life and work.
Girl Boss ($44.95): A girl boss has a fresh perspective on her industry. She takes her career seriously without being too serious. Fun colors and cute patterns inspire her to grow and succeed in her career.
I enjoy unrapping Covet Crate. The ribbon and tissue paper makes it feel like a special gift.
The box comes with a mini magazine with a feature on a woman that changed the world. Penelope Barker is on the cover. She organized a group of women to boycott the British before the American Revolution began. The Edmonton Tea Party is the first political activism conducted by women in the colonies.
The table of contents makes it easy to find information on the items. There is a profile on Penelope Barker that provides an informative overview of her life.
The mini magazine is detailed and contained product information along with information about the woman on the cover and the woman of the month. The September Woman of the Month is Marrin Costello.
Each brand has an information page that provides detail on the company and the item.
I can’t tell much from the first peek!
Everything is in its original packaging which makes it nice when gifting Covet Crate.
Here are the items int the September-October Lady Boss Edition Covet Crate. It is nicely themed around tea!
The Poketo Minimalist Folio – Medium ($48.00) can hold a laptop or tablet up to 12″. There is room for your cell phone in the front pocket. I’m not the best with depth perception, but it needs to be a reasonably slim laptop for it to latch close. It is vegan leather and is held closed by two peg-in-hole fastenings. I will use it for documents or a tablet. It does look pretty.
I Am That Girl by Alexis Jones ($10.84) is an inspiring, motivating book written towards Generation Y. It’s the book that you want your daughter to read when she is in high school, college, or starting out in her career. It’s not the book that I need to read as a small business owner. It is a happy, cheerful book so pick it up after a bad day at the office and start reading!
In a crazy, media distracted world the important questions often get lost like: What’s your passion? What’s your purpose? Who do you want to be? Alexis Jones has built a career listening to and helping girls around the world figure out those questions in order to inspire them to think for themselves, to speak their truth, to discover their purpose, and to dream HUGE! Alexis believes that you’re not broken nor do you need to be fixed. You already are that girl who creates magic wherever she goes, who lives fearlessly, who inspires those around her to dream bigger, and who will leave the world better, just for having been in it.Stop listening to that voice inside your head that tells you you’re not good enough. Stop worrying that you don’t have the perfect body, perfect job, perfect relationship, or perfect anything for that matter. Stop letting other people draw boundaries and limits around your life. And start living the life that you truly want (now!), the one you didn’t think you had the courage to imagine, but the one that’s absolutely possible! Including stories from thirty incredible women, Alexis has compiled everything she’s learned into one complete guide to being That Girl, the best version of you.
The Garance Doré Illustrated Leopard Notebook Set ($15.00) features the “woman wearing leopard” illustration drawn by Garance Doré in 2012. The notebook set is printed by Rifle Paper Co. Each unlined notebook is 64 pages and features gold foil accents on the covers.
I keep moving The Tea Spot Travel Tea Mug with Tuffy Steeper Set ($24.95) out of the cat’s path because I am afraid it is going to break. It is a beautiful double-walled ceramic mug that is lead-free and cadmium-free. It is dishwasher-safe.
Covet Crate did an excellent job for including the Travel Tea Mug Set. Having the Travel Tea Infuser is a nice touch especially for those that love their loose leaf tea. Tuffy is dishwasher safe but not microwave-safe.
The Teema Teas Gift Pack ($14.00) is beautifully packaged in a handmade envelope consisting of abaca fibers. The certified organic woman-own 500 acre tea plantation is located in the foothills of the Himalayas in Thailand. The women workers are treated fairly, and apartment housing is available for them on the farm. Teema Teas also gives back 10% of its profits to help economically disadvantaged women.
I received one tea bag each of Ginger Lemongrass Tea, Peppermint Green Tea, Naked Black Tea, and Jasmine Green Tea. I decided to try out the Naked Black Tea which is a medium-bodied black tea.
It did not have a bitter taste that I associate with some black teas. There is a slight smokey taste.
The Jane Vanilla Chai Tea Soap – Small (2.5 oz, $3.50) is a wonderfully scented hot processed soap. The chai tea and vanilla extract give the soap a scent of light spicy tea with vanilla notes. It lathers up easily and left my skin feeling soft. It is free of all the nasties that I avoid in soaps and full of good ingredients such as coconut oil.
Who is ready for some sweet tea for your feet after a hard day at work? Five ounces of the Southern Hospitality Georgia Peach Sweet Tea Foot Soak ($5.00) awaits your feet. It is cleverly packaged in a large tea bag, and it surely smells like peaches!
Both my husband and my sister loved the gluten-free Salted Peanut and Milk Chocolate Golden Jacks Treat (2.25 oz, $3.00). My sister said it has a smooth peanut butter taste. My husband said it tasted like a butterscotch brownie.
The items in the September box had a great mix of tea themed items and items for the professional life. I enjoyed receiving items that are distinctly designed for women. The value of the Lady Boss Box is almost $120.00. It’s a great box that will motivate and encourage you!
