Comic Block Subscription Box Review & Coupon – August 2016

Comic Block is a monthly subscription box from the Nerd Block Family of geek crates! With this subscription you’ll receive comic books, a shirt, and other goodies each month.

The featured item!

Description Card is great for letting us know what we have received.  Its a great checklist to look at as you go through your Comic Block box.

This box is great and there is special care for the contents.  Comic books are wrapped in plastic and/or bagged and boarded.  There are more toys than before as the box has increased in size.  The t-shirt was packed in the box well and kept everything from moving around.

Suicide Squad Hat.  The movie phenomenon and the popular comic book can also be worn on your head.  The bottom of the bill has a depiction of the cast of the film.

Guardians of the Galaxy T-Shirt.  I like the multiple colors and all of the characters from the super-group from Marvel.  I didn’t see this t-shirt on shirtpunch.com but that’s where it came from and their shirts usually go for $19.99.

Suicide Squad #1 (2016) Variant Cover – $2.99.  How awesome is this cover?  This is only available from Comic Block as…look at the cover!  I’m a huge fan of variants and this isn’t the only one in the box.

Harley Quinn #1 (2016) Variant Cover – $2.99.  I almost bought this variant cover at my local comic shop but I ended up buying the regular cover.  I’m glad I did since Comic Block brought this super fun comic to me.  It’s part of a fun series as Harley and her gang are dealing with some zombie-like folks that ate some tainted sausage.

Harley Quinn #2 (2016) Variant Cover- $2.99.  I like this creepy cover a lot.  The zombie fun continues in this comic book.  Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti have a way of making comics that are ultra violent but in such a fun way.

Comic Block has indeed gotten bigger and this month was great!  I’ve been a fan of Comic Block because of the comic books you receive along with the t-shirt and other collectibles.  The two comics were excellent and the t-shirt was cool too.  This is a wonderful value and I would encourage anyone who loves the comic book genre to check this out. This box felt a little more like the previous comic blocks (before it “evolved” into a larger size) with a focus on comics plus one larger collectible item.
