Buster Box Subscription Box Review + Coupon – August 2016

Buster Box is a monthly subscription box for dogs, with 3 Paw sizes. Each and every month, your Buster Box will include a premium toy that is chew tested by their Paw Team! In addition, there will be an assortment of additional toys, treats, and other doggie goodies. Each month will be a different surprise. Although you cannot pick and choose your dog’s goodies, if you have any special requests for your premium toys (ie, my dog hates squeakers), you can email them.

Meet “Pooma” our Miniature American Eskimo. 

Here’s what all we got in our Medium Paws Box.

Chase ‘n Chomp Rope-It Molly : Made of durable rubber and sturdy nylon rope. The Rope is 100-percent nylon with no cotton filler. It can also float in water.

Pooma enjoys eating and nibbling on just about anything he finds tickles his curiosity. He ended up chewing bits of the rope off.  So just be careful.

Rubber Sound Bone: Your standard squeaky rubber toy. I didn’t let Pooma play with this. He tends to chew on everything.

Merrick Lil Plates – Real Chicken + Sweet Potato Recipe ( Grain Free) :  They’re big on the high quality nutrition and tasty mealtime experience Merrick is known for, in options that are easily digestible, convenient and right-sized portions for small breed dogs. I totally messed up and didn’t follow the instructions which are as follows:

For dogs over 30 lbs: add 1/4 cup per additional 5 lbs

Transitioning: Gradually mix in the new food over a 5-7 day period, increasing the amount each day.

Crazy Dog Train-Me! Training Reward : I’ve given Pooma these before, when I was training him how to sit and stay. These treats focuses attention on the owner, makes training a bonding experience, motivates dogs and shortens the learning curve. They’re  small enough for repetitive use and perfect as a training reward or anytime treat for all breeds. Pooma loves these and many times begs for more. I’m not a dog expert. However, If you’re using these for training, try not over indulge. When I first gave these to him, they worked pretty well. But then when I removed them from the training experience, he just looked at me like ” Ummm, where is it?”. Overall a great product.

KONG Shakers Caterpillar Dog Toy:  This is another favorite of his. This toy squeaks and rattles to satisfy natural instincts. It’s has a durable center panel for vigorous thrashing. It’s also available in two sizes: M/L and L/XL. Pooma tends to only play with this for a while. I find that he approaches this more as a comfort toy then really a thrashing one. He’ll normally bring it by his pillow and keep it by him wherever he’s laying. Don’t try to take it from him though.

Jr Squid Dog Toy by Tuffys: Pooma can’t get enough of this toy. He shakes and tosses it until he’s pretty much tired right before bed.  Good for him, horrible for us. The Jr Squid Dog Toy has the perfect shape for throwing, tugging, and pretty much anything fun! This squid dog toy is made from four layers of material that are then sewn together with four more rows of stitching, which is then anchored with a durable luggage material trim that is then sewn three more times! The Jr Squid Dog Toy ranks 8 on the Tuffy’s Tuffness scale of 1-10; long lasting and really tuff! Your dog will be entertained for hours by the squeaker in Jr Squid Dog Toy too!However, it’s not recommended for extremely tough chewers. Machine wash. Air dry.

Dog Toy Jouet Pour Chien :  This is the winner out of the whole box! This rope toy is his favorite. It’s a linen twined rope and pretty sturdy. Pooma plays with this for hours.

Me: “Sorry Pooma, but you have to let it go. I need to take a picture of it.”

Clean Go Dog Bags and Dispenser: These are cool. They get the job done. I the plastic seems to be pretty thin, so be careful when tearing them apart. I opened one and it had a hole. The dispenser works pretty standard. I did drop it while walking Pooma and it opened up. I haven’t been able to fully close it since. It has a clip that I can keep on the leash.

Rockin’ Paws Rockin’ SHOW STOPPER Coat De-Matting and Shine Serum:  I haven’t use this on Pooma yet but according to their site, It’s specially formulated to provide ultra-deep condition and lustrous, show-stopping shine. Enriched with Jojoba Oil for deep conditioning and Avocado Oil for nourishment & shine, it adds softness, and restores moisture. The formula helps detangle with more ease and, when used regularly, allows for easier and less frequent combing or brushing.  Just rub a nickel-sized amount of between your hands, then massage evenly into entire towel-dry or dry coat.

Overall this box had so many goodies, it was like Christmas for Pooma. He was so excited to see everything and begged me to play with the toys ( I mean he did his tricks and all). If you have a vibrant dog and you need things to occupy his/her fury time. This is the way to go!
