So Bakeable August 2016 Subscription Box Review + Coupon – Salted Caramel Brownies

So Bakeable is a monthly subscription box that sends baking lessons to your door. I like to think of it as a combination baking meal kit and craft box. Each month, you’ll receive attractive, easy-to-follow directions along with all of the baking supplies you’ll need (minus eggs, butter and milk), including a new baking tool! The results are gorgeous and absolutely delicious! Although So Bakeable’s boxes are certainly suitable for experienced bakers, they’re so well done that even beginners can make Pinterest-worthy desserts on their very first tries! Boxes cost $29.95 each plus shipping, and discounts are available with longer-term prepaid subscriptions.

August’s box included a recipe for Salted Caramel Brownies!

Everything arrived well packaged. I loved how So Bakeable divided up the chocolate chips into two well-labeled bags. I think the labels are adorable, and the decorative, protective strips at the bottom are very attractive.

As always, this shipment included everything you’d need to make a beautiful dessert, minus the eggs, butter and (though it wasn’t necessary this month) milk. August’s special tools were a pastry cutter and piping bag.

The enclosed handwritten note was a nice personal touch!

So Bakeable’s directions are top notch. The pictures are awesome and the writing is very clear.

Even a first time baker could pull off a spectacular dessert with them!

Here are my brownies! Following the enclosed directions made this project a snap! The brownies were cooked perfectly, and the caramel buttercream and chocolate additions were delicious! I couldn’t believe how great and gorgeous these were!

My husband and I dug into the brownies immediately, and my kids ate some for breakfast the following morning. They were a hit with everyone! Start to finish this project took about 3 hours. They turned out so well that I walked around with a swagger for the rest of the evening.

I loved my first installment from So Bakeable! I thought the box was creative and fun, and who doesn’t like enjoying a delicious dessert in the end? I can’t wait to see what they come up with next month! My son has already asked to help out making our next dessert.
