Random Fandom is a pop culture box from Canada, but it’s not a subscription box! The boxes are individually sold on a monthly basis, and while they will tell you what fandom is featured, the rest is a secret — but with the theme announced you can choose whether or buy or to skip. The monthly box goes on sale on the first of the month. Past themes include Sailor Moon, Orphan Black, and Studio Ghibli, so there is really something for everyone! Boxes include a shirt or other wearable.
First look! It’s a Steven Universe box! I’m only halfway through Season 1, so I might miss some references and jokes.

Steven Universe Blind Box Mini Figure ($8.50) I got Connie! She’s Steven’s best friend, and I love her because she wears glasses! These mystery minis are by Funko.
Steven Universe Mad Libs ($3.99) I love Mad Libs, so I was surprised to see they’re still around! This is a Steven Universe version of Mad Libs with lots of stories involving the characters.
My friends and I are kind of naughty when we play Mad Libs, so I’m not sure how well we’d get on with Mad Libs about a kids’ show… (Rule 34, y’all!)
Postcard & Lion Sticker The art of Steven Universe is seriously pretty. It’s similar to Adventure Time (because they have some of the same crew) but it really is just beautiful. This print is gorgeous. And the Lion sticker is so cute! I just watched the episode where Steven meets Lion, actually.
Frisbee This frisbee unfolds from a small pouch. It has the star design from Steven’s shirt on it.
Buttons We were also sent a set of four buttons to pin on to just about anything. I don’t get all the references just yet but they’re still pretty funny!
T-Shirt (~$10) The art was exclusively done for Random Fandom! I like the style of art on Steven and Connie. Connie is so cool with her sword!

This box was really fun to open! I love my Connie vinyl and the buttons. The shirt is really cute as well! I like Random Fandom because you get to pick and choose the boxes you want — if you’re not a fan you’re not going to be corralled into a month you might not want.
