Orglamix August 2016 Subscription Box Review & Coupon

Orglamix is a monthly vegan beauty and makeup subscription box. Every month you’ll get vegan natural beauty products with a cute monthly theme!

The August theme was “Vitamin Sea” – perfect for August. And I absolutely love the box that is custom made for the month! It’s too cute!

I love this brand’s packaging! Everything goes together and it is just visually pleasing.

Seaweed Elixir Mask ($7) This creamy mask plumps up your skin with ‘ocean magic’ (ok phytochemical, microminerals, structured water, and polysaccharides). A little goes a long way! I tried it out on my chest the other day – it wiped off easily and left me feeling moisturized.

Ocean Potion Seaweed Detox Bath ($5) I was expecting this detox bath to be either black or green but it’s crystal clear. It combines seaweed and blue green algae to detox and relax at bath time.

Smells so great too!

Beach Bum Oil Salt Scrub ($) This one can be used in the shower! Scrub scrub scrub with a tropical scent to help polish away dry summer skin!

Ocean Mineral Serum ($32) With aloe, this lightweight serum is designed to deliver healing to aged summer skin. It’s non sticky and I have been using it a few days and love it. It absorbs quickly and gave my skin a really nice texture.

Ocean Mist Sea Salt Shimmer Hair Spray ($8)  What a super fun product! It adds a fun beachy scent, a subtle shimmer, and a little style!

 It may be impossible to see in this picture especially on mobile but it was pretty. We had a bit of trouble with the sprayer but I took it apart and it was fine!

 Mermaid Tears Mineral Whip Cream  ($18) This is the only makeup item in the box this month (unusual – usually there are several). I thought it was a loose powder but it’s a creamy shadow/pigment! I didn’t try it as such but you can use it as a liner or as a base for another shadow.

The color is beautiful. On the left is a swatch using a print technique – tapping the shadow onto the skin. The right is the traditional swipe.

This is a pretty bold color and for me an experiment with before I shower (at night) item so I can be successful with it before caffeine. I thought the rest of the box was fantastic and loved that they targeted skincare for this transitional time of year. Even better, they kept it summery. Slow down everyone, we’re not to fall yet!
