Kloverbox July 2016 Subscription Box Review & Coupon

Kloverbox is a fun and unique natural and organic beauty and lifestyle subscription box delivering the purest in beauty, nutrition, health, and home essentials.

I am curious to what is in the box. I did see spoilers while I was away on vacation but did not see photos.

Here are the items in the July 2016 box.  I am not sure how I feel about it. I am glad to see no Harvey Prince products! I like Harvey Prince but want to try other brands.

I was eager to try out the St Tropica Organic Coconut Oil Hair Mask (1.5 oz, $4.50).  The formula is organic, cruelty-free, gluten-free, soy-free and rates a 1 on the EWG scale. It adds moisture to the hair while revitalizing it and strengthening it. Put it in the microwave for 20 seconds, apply to hair when it is cool enough, and then wrapped it with a shower cap or towel. Let it sit for a minimum of 20 minutes or overnight on dry hair.

I tried it out this morning. I microwaved it for 15 seconds and then applied it to my hair. I wrapped it in a towel because I could not find my shower cap. I waited for an hour before washing it out of my hair.  The package was not enough to do all my hair because it is super thick and three-quarters of the way down my back. The hair mask gave it manageability and shine. It did not do much for my ends which desperately needs to be cut off.  Word of caution – it did make the bathtub slippery.

I also tried out the Jillian Wright Skincare Detox Glow Apothecary Face and Body Mask ( .25 oz, $3.50) while waiting for the hair mask to soak into my hair. I used water to create a paste and applied it to my face. I prefer using yogurt but am out of it. I kept it on for approximately 25 minutes. It felt soothing to my face. My face had a slight glow, looked a little bit tighter, and had smaller pores. I should have enough for a couple more uses and am curious to see the end result. The mask is best for congested skin and areas of acne on the body. A few of the ingredients are coso mountain clay, lavender, and turmeric.

Jillian Wright Skincare was also featured in the March 2015 Box. I emailed Jillian Wright back in March 2015 for skincare suggestions. She was incredibly helpful. I fell in love with the moisturizer that she recommended for my rosacea because it has COQ10 in it. I placed an order for the cleanser (seen on the left) last month and been thinking about ordering another moisturizer. Now I will because Kloverbox provided a discount code. I’ve got respect for Elisabeth Hasselback’s hustle. From being on Survivor to co-hosting The View for 10 years, she has been one busy person. I’m still not going to try the NoGii Protein D’Lites Chocolate Caramel Bliss Bar ($1.25) because it has too much soy in it for me. T, age 17, isn’t allowed to have soy protein bars per his track and field/cross-country coach. My sister will be enjoying this bar. I have no doubts that your hunger will be sated after eating this bar.

I had to press down hard for the swatches to show leading me to believe that the MannaKadar Radiance Split Pan Bronzer & Highlighter Duo ($21.00) will work well with my skin tone. The paraben- free and cruelty-free duo can be mixed can be mixed to create the perfect shade for your skin tone. It can be used as a highlighter, bronzer, and eyeshadow. Wet the brush to give your eyes a metallic look.

It’s another month where the box was a miss for me. I love the hair mask which is a one-time use mask and face mask which is good for 2-4 uses. I won’t be using the Manna Kadar Duo or eating the protein bar. The July box was disappointing to me. Maybe I need to readjust my expectations. I am going to give it one more month before deciding on whether to cancel.
