Horror Block July 2016 Review & Coupon

Horror Block is a monthly subscription box filled with some awesomely gruesome horror toys and collectibles. This box really starts with the box itself.  This is a favorite box at my house with my boys and myself loving to see it show up.  The box itself is also a hot commodity with both boys arguing over who gets to play with it when I’m done doing my review and putting away our goodies. It goes back to kids always love playing with the boxes and then mommy gets the goodies. Win-win

First look at all the contents. This box did not appear to have as many boxed items inside it so it was a bit more hodge podged. Not a problem at all just something I noticed.

Rue Morgue July 2016 Issue ($9.95) – Horror Block includes a monthly magazine from Rue Morgue.  While not a magazine I would pick up off a shelf I actually like going through these each month. The magazine is a great quality with nice thick pages and lots of information.  The cover of this one really called to me and I have it sitting next to me to read through.

Friday the 13th Baseball Hat – I’m not a huge ballcap wearer but my boys love them and will be all over this. They have no idea who Jason Voorhies is but they are already asking for it so I know it will be put to good use.  This was an exclusive to Horror Block and one of the hints given for the box.

Triple Feature Horror Blu-Ray – This month Horror Block sent out assorted Blu-Rays. While I like the idea of sending out Horror movies in the boxes especially some of the ones that are more rare when you get to sending random ones out then I think you’ve gone past your fun with it.  I’m hoping they go back to the more exclusive ones or they start adding a different goodie into the box.

Shirtpunch Psycho T-shirt (This is an exclusive but other Shirtpunch shirts go for $19.99) – I love this shirt but I have a feeling my hubby is going to grab it from me for Halloween.  We do a big Halloween display in our front yard and with this one glowing in the dark it would be perfect for our time outside.

Simpsons Treehouse of Horror Art Print- While we are talking of Halloween this is another great item.  My hubby loves the Simpson and the Treehouse of Horrors are classics.  I’m planning to put this one in a frame and have it ready for the holiday.

The Walking Dead Lower Prison Cell Buildable ($9.80) – I had seen these awhile ago at the store but never really paid too much attention to them but now that I’m looking at it its pretty cool.  There are lots of different pieces and you can build them all and put them together to create scenes.

This month’s Horror Block is really good while it is not all me it is perfect for my hubby and boys and has some of our favorites represented.  I do think they have overdone the movies so I’m hoping they start mixing it up a bit but I know some people still love to get them and not everything can be just for me.

If you are a fan of Horror and really all things scary then this is a great box to check out. Next month is really looking like a me box with an exclusive Supernatural item and a total of 4 exclusive items. Supernatural is one of my favorite shows so I can’t wait to see what they include.
