My Geek Box is a monthly subscription of geek goods shipped directly from the UK to your front door.  Each month you’ll get a mystery box filled to the brim with geek gamer and retro gear, including a limited edition t-shirt in your chosen size. Every month they choose a different theme: from zombies, to superheroes, to video games and even your favourite films. It’s not only the theme which changes from month to month, either – each box is unique, filled with a fresh batch of awesomeness.  Because it ships from the UK, shipping costs factor into the overall expense of the box.046 048It seems that damage tends to follow this box.  It appears that the damage happened before reaching the United States.  Luckily there are some great items in each box but there is generally something that doesn’t arrive in exquisite condition.

Here is everything from the box.

Civil War II #0 – Previews UK Exclusive Variant – Marvel Comics – $4.99.  This comic book has a cover price of $4.99 but it is selling for $14.99 on Amazon.  The one I received is basically worthless as it received the brunt of the damage as my box arrived crushed and water damaged.  As a comic book collector, I am extremely disappointed in how this arrived.  I had read this book previously and you can check out the review of the book here.

Rafael’s Pizzaria T-Shirt.  I’m a fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle themed items and I like that this one is a bit more subtle.  I guess the maker of the t-shirt didn’t get the memo that United States telephone numbers have ten digits.  All in all though, this is a cool t-shirt.

060 065 066Hobbit “Rivendell” Mug.  Fans of The Hobbit should enjoy this mug and the artwork that is depicted.

069 072Wolverine Dorbz Collectible Figure – $8.99.  Fans of the more classic Wolverine look should enjoy this little guy.  Seeing Logan in the yellow tights is how I prefer to see him.  Sadly, many of the people that have gotten to become fans of Logan only know the Hugh Jackman version.

075

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Bottle Opener.  For those of you who follow me on the Untapped App, you know a bottle opener is a must have.  This one depicts the combined symbol of the two most well known heroes in the DC Universe.

This box was full of surprises.  I liked receiving Wolverine and the Ninja Turtle t-shirt but seeing the water damaged box and the comic book that is now essentially worthless was a downer.
