Bluum is a subscription box service that sends products for moms and babies to your home each month. Bluum curates its boxes by selecting the highest-rated products geared for a child’s particular age. Boxes are available for pregnant moms and moms with children between the ages of 0 and 5.

Each box arrives well-packaged with attractive tissue paper and a card describing the box’s intended recipient–in this case, a 22 month old child.

As a point of reference, I updated by bluum profile last month: I prefer receiving books and toys each month, and I do not wish to receive any products related to babyproofing, nursing or feeding. Let’s see what they sent!

Yay! A book! This looks like my best box yet!

Do the pictures feature boys every month? So far, I’m three for three. Bluum, some kids, including my daughter (aka the box’s recipient), are girls!

Little Miss Austen’s Emma: An Emotions Primer by Jennifer Adams ($7.14) is adorable. I love Alison Oliver’s illustrations, and the theme of the book is perfect for my daughter. My daughter is just starting to speak (yesterday, she said “I sit that chair” when she wanted to move from my husband’s lap onto her own chair), so this book will be perfect for her. Not only will it help her identify emotions, but it will also help reinforce her colors.

I like this Monkey Mat ($19.99). It’s much more compact and lighter than other portable blankets I’ve tried, and I like how its ends are weighted. When expanded, the mat measures 5′ x 5′. The bag is actually part of the mat, so you’ll never lose track of it. The bag would fit easily into my purse. The attached buckle could be used to affix it to a stroller, if desired.

I look forward to using Poof’s Real Flushable Chemical Free Wipes ($4.21 based on the cost of 12). We are definitely at that stage where we need as many flushable wipes as possible, and these look great! They’re biodegradable, compostable, chemical free and hypoallergenic.

I don’t use many sponges, but I’m eager to try Power Puff’s Scrub Genie ($5). It softens in warm water for lighter-duty jobs and hardens in cold water for heavy-duty jobs. It is also a great sponge for little hands, as you can tailor its texture by the temperature of the water to suit your kiddos’ desires.

I liked my selections this month. I wish I had received even more books and toys, but I’ll certainly use the mat, flushable wipes and the sponge. The value of the items I received this month was roughly the same as the cost of the subscription. The day after I received my box this month, I logged into my bluum account to select products for next month. I’m very excited with what I was able to select for next month! I can’t wait to receive September’s box!
