BeautyFIX is a monthly subscription box from Dermstore that sends you the latest skin care, hair care, and makeup products for $24.95 a month (or $34.95 for a one-time purchase). They feature full and travel sized products and promise the box will contain at least $100 worth of items. Everyone receives the same products, although makeup colors or scents may differ, but at least you will know what you’re getting if you decide to purchase the box after you see the contents.

FYI – you can subscribe to BeautyFIX and receive this exact box – it’s usually available all the way through the end of the month!

My products were wrapped in tissue paper and there was a product information card on top. My bubble wrap was popped, the box was partly crushed, and the items were jingle jangle jingling inside the box but everything was fine.

It turns out the perfume sample had fallen out of the cardboard holder but luckily the glass didn’t break.

The product information card gave the item name, what it is used for, and a coupon code for a shop purchase. This month’s theme was “Gold Medal Skin”.

This cute little cork-board pill box from Danielle Creations ($14.99) has a removable insert in case you want to store something other than medicines inside. It also has a mirror on the inside (which is kind of hard to use) and pretty gold details on the outside.

Sex Lux Pax Eye Shadow Trio by Vincent Longo ($30) (colors will vary) I received “Topaz Dulux”. These shades went on light but it was easy to build the color with a second application if you like your eyes to look more dramatic. Cruelty free.

Swatched from the top: Sex, Lux, and Pax, which isn’t the name of the shades, but the application order. Sex refers to the lightest shade, Pax, the deepest, and Lux is the accent shade.

Force De Vie Pure Oxygen Creme Luxe by Luzern Laboratories ($24.75) What a luxurious face cream! This one is perfect for normal to dry, mature skin and has a light orange scent and claims to encourage collagen renewal while diminishing fine lines and wrinkles.

Green Apple Peel Sensitive by Juice Beauty ($39) This is a fruit-based treatment that is supposed to gently exfoliate the skin and leave a smoother and brighter complexion. I experienced a mild tingling and a whole lotta flushing, which is described as normal (my face felt very warm the whole time it was on). Apply a generous layer over clean skin and remove after 10 minutes.

Eau de Parfum by Tocca Beauty ($2) (fragrance will vary) I received “Liliana”. Tocca can be hit or miss with me and this scent was a hit! It is fruity-floral and fresh. Although it is described as having notes of neroli and peach I think it is more like blackberry and lemon. It doesn’t last very long though. Note to Tocca: put a sprayer in your samples, stat!

Here is the feeling this scent is supposed to evoke.

CC Cream 10-in-1 Complete Correction Leave-In Hair Perfector by Alterna ($12) I kept thinking this was for my face but luckily I applied it to the correct place. I am not a fan of leave-in conditioners since I have fine, flat hair but in the name of testing I gave this a try and was surprised that my hair wasn’t an oil slick by the end of the day. I only needed a bit to make my hair comb easily so I can just imagine how well it would work for someone with thicker hair. This is the second product I have tried from this brand and I am quickly becoming a fan.

Facial Cream – Nigerian Ginger with Sweet Lavender & Thyme by Pangea Organics ($23.73) I love the smell of natural lavender and its soothing properties. This moisturizer also contains argan and sweet almond oils and is best for normal or combination skin. Vegan.

Aromessence Neroli Hydrating Oil Serum by Decleor ($11.20) I love the smell of this moisturizing serum that contains hazel seed, neroli, and sandlewood oils. Neroli is supposed to help alleviate redness and irritation and since my skin tends to redness I look forward to seeing if it helps!

Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Foaming Mask by Bliss ($2.24) Yet another delicious orange scented product! This foaming facial mask does CPR on your skin: it clarifies, protects, and revitalizes your complexion! Contains green tea, aloe, and grape seed extracts for their antioxidant powers. Apply to damp skin, wait for it to become frothy, and rinse after 5 minutes.

This box contained 9 items (3 of them full sized!) and was worth $159.91! I loved the selection of products this month and am so happy that it included fragrance, makeup, and hair care as well as skin care, plus a healthcare item. There was a pretty good selection of products for different skin types and I am always happy to get a neutral shadow color and perfume.
