Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. Your stylist will send you 5 pieces based on your profile for you to try on at home and hopefully fall in love with. There are no coupons for Stitch Fix but if you hit the jackpot and keep everything, you save 25% on your whole fix (read below for details).
Everything always comes wrapped so neatly! It makes it really fun to open!
Every box includes a set of styling cards with suggestions on how to wear the particular item. There’s usually a dressed up (right) and dressed down (left) version for each piece of clothing. I do wish these cards were accessible in your Stitch Fix profile. If you email them they’ll send them via PDF. Stitch Fix customer service has been super helpful lately! I also find the styling cards very helpful. I am not a naturally good-at-fashion person and these help a LOT. Even if I don’t keep the pieces I use them as inspiration – like my own personal fashion editor!
Here’s how Stitch Fix works: fill out your style profile! This includes style, budget, what you’re looking for, and you can get as detailed as you want with the notes to your stylist. It really really does help to provide notes to what you’re seeking, and a Pinterest board if you have one!
You will also receive a separate paper with a list of your items. You’ll be charged a $20 styling fee and shipped five items to try on at home. If you keep anything your styling fee will be applied to your order, but if you don’t, you will pay the $20 fee. This is so worth it. If you keep everything you get a 25% discount, so it pays off to be specific. You will check out and get charged through your Stitch Fix account. Return the pieces you don’t want in the prepaid mailer (free shipping!).
Everything in my second fix for August. I see pineapples so I’m automatically happy.
Fun2Fun Fina Split Neck Blouse ($48) This is SUPER cute and priced right! I love the interplay of the patterns and I think it’s a great summer-to-fall item!
Skies Are Blue Burdan V-Neck Blouse ($58) This one was a little baggy and shapeless and the placket was a little too bold for the pattern, but I liked the colors.
These sleeves were a good fit for me, but I couldn’t get over that too-large placket!
Brixon Ivy Cristen Shirt Dress ($68) This was an unusual item in my fix – and a style I haven’t seen in any of my (many!) boxes!
It came with its own liner/dress slip making it easy to wear this breezy style!
Cooper & Ella Azurine Placket Detail Blouse ($124) YES! You know I kept this overpriced shirt – because pineapples. It looks great on, easy to wear, not TOO pineappley, and it was perfect, so I had to. What a find!
Market & Spruce Spencer Jersey Dress ($54) This was a great basic! It sort of reminded me of some of the LuLaRoe dresses in my closet, but a nice wearable stripe that provides really great lines. This one was a hit with me too!
I was much happier with my second fix this month – the first one really bummed me out because I’m an addict and really actually rely on Stitch Fix to keep my wardrobe updated. And I just went and looked – that one was as boring as I remember. My style, as best as I can some it up, is basic but interesting – there always has to be some sort of little feature that grabs me!
