Love with Food‘s August theme is Love is Family. This is a fun snack discovery subscription available in three versions: Tasting box, Deluxe box, and Gluten-free. Below is a review of the Tasting box. Be sure to check out our reviews of the other May boxes. You can see our reviews of all 3 varieties of Love With Food boxes here.
LOVE IS FAMILY
There are so many opportunities to enjoy being with family this time of year. You might be planning one last big summer getaway, or just getting back into the back-to-school family routine. So why not make that time even better and add in some irresistible snacks? Everything in this month’s box is sure to be a hit with the whole family, so share it around and make this August one your family will always remember.
This month, Love with Food has eliminated their information booklet. One of the highlights of the booklet was that it contained a color-coded legend identifying which items are gluten-free, non-GMO, vegan, organic, and dairy-free. You can click here to get all the information on products in this month’s box.
The August Tasting Box!!!
Peanut Butter & Co. Mighty Nut Powdered Peanut Butter – Vanilla: I’m a little iffy on this one since I’ve never tried powdered peanut butter before. Not to mention, I am really a brand loyalist and dedicated to my PB of choice. I need your help Hello Subscription readers, do I rehydrate this and eat or add it to a smoothie???
PopCorners Carnival Kettle: The goodness of sweet kettle corn combined with the crunch of a chip. If you like kettle corn, then I think you will like these.
Envirokidz Chocolate Crispy Rice Bar: Gluten and nut free, this is like a healthy version of a crispy treat. The chocolate makes it that much better.
Pique Tea Crystals – Sencha Green Tea: Despite my Asian heritage, I am not a fan of green tea. This will be passed on to my sister who enjoys the drink.
Ocean’s Halo Seaweed Snack – Texas BBQ: Seaweed snacks are always in stock in my house. This was an interesting flavor. The kick of the BBQ sauce kind of reminded me of kimchi, but the smokiness threw the flavor off. I’m still on the fence with these.
Sheffa Zesty Snack Mix: Savory, crunchy deliciousness in this bag! Chickpea noodles, corn nuts, and toasted sunflower seeds make up this mix. This bag would be great to satisfy a salt craving or with an ice cold beer.
Frü-licious Fruit & Cream Smoothie: Freeze this smoothie for a cold treat. It was refreshing during the recent heatwave in my house (A/C died+Florida heat index = miserable me). However, I didn’t like the strawberry flavor; maybe the banana is more my type.
Chimes Toasted Coconut Toffee Candy: Seriously, only 2 pieces??? For some reason, I only like coconut in candy. These were really yummy. It was like a cross between a dark caramel and a Chick-o-stick (minus the nuts). More, please!
Goodie Girl Cookies – Quinoa Choco-Chip: I’ve had Goodie Girl cookies before and really like them because they are gluten free cookies that taste good; no cardboard flavor here. The texture of this cookie is a little different with the quinoa, but don’t let that deter you from trying them.
This was one of my favorite Love With Food boxes to date. I was a bit intrigued by the powdered peanut butter and BBQ flavored seaweed snacks, but there are always some new discoveries in these boxes. Surprisingly, the Chimes candy were my favorite things in the box. What did you enjoy most from your box? Share with a comment below, and happy noshing.
