Target Beauty Box July 2016 Review – ‘Simply Radiant’

Target Beauty Box is a one-time online purchase that comes out once a month and they always manage to sell out within hours. This one was for July and was $7.00 plus tax with free shipping. There are a lot of items in the box to keep us looking radiant all summer long!

The July theme is ‘Simply RADIANT.’ The information card has a clean, crisp design that states the products and a brief description.

The July box is full of full-size and sample size products along with well-known brands and natural beauty brands. There is a coupon for $3.00 off of a $15.00 beauty purchase.

The first thing I noticed is the Dessange Paris Purifying Clay Balancing Shampoo (8.5 oz, $9.99).  The french shampoo is made in Spain making it a well-traveled shampoo that was created by the famous french dressing house Dessange. The shampoo color matches the bottle and has a slight fruity smell to it. It addressed the problem of oily roots and dry ends. I am impressed that a full-size product is included in the box.

The L’Oreal Paris Color Vibrancy Shampoo (1.7 oz, $0.40) and Conditioner (1.7 oz, $0.40) are the perfect travel size. The shampoo and conditioner will keep your color looking fresh for up to eight weeks which is no easy feat with the sun, chlorine, and more damaging the hair during the summer time.

The Wet n Wild Max Fantastic Mascara ($4.99) is a black mascara that adds a crazy amount of volume to your eyelashes. 8x more volume, 8x more curl, and 35% longer lashes are waiting for you.

The fan shape brush gives the eyes a cat eye look by tapering to one end giving yourself a dramatic look. It also has jojoba oil and rice bran as ingredients which help separate lashes and condition them. I wonder what Little Lamb (my kitty) would think if I batted cat eye lashes at him.

I am excited that Target is carrying more natural brands! Acure Facial Cleansing Gel (1 oz, $2.50) is free of all the things that I try to avoid putting on my skin. It removes makeup and cleansing the skin. It is best suited for oily and normal skin. I am happy to see it in the box!

The Aquaphor Healing Ointment (.25 oz, $0.24) can easily be thrown in your purse or tote bag. It helps with blisters, wind burns, and protects cuts which are concerns in the summer time. It is idea for sensitive skin.

I’m excited about the Derma E Firming DMA Eye Serum (.14, $4.76) is full of ingredients that I love such as Goji Berry and Jojoba Seed Oil. It’s a tiny sample, but there is enough to tell whether it will bother my skin. Derma E. The vegan, cruelty-free formula is free of parabens, sulfate, mineral oil, and gluten.

The July Target Box simply RADIANT box has something for everyone. I prefer the natural products and will keep the other products for when people stay overnight. It seems like someone always forgets something! It’s a great mixture of full-size and sample products.  I don’t know any other box that is under $10.00 that has full-size beauty products in it! The box was only $7.00 and had a value of $24.00. That’s over three times the cost.
