Nerd Block Jr. Boys July 2016 Subscription Box Review & Coupon

Nerd Block Jr is a subscription box for boys or girls ages 6-11 (you pick the box – boy or girl) that is a monthly surprise of fun little toys for kids. They’re part of the Nerd Block Family – check any of them out here.

There’s also a maze puzzle included at the back of the card.

There’s also a ShirtPunch! $10 Credit included in the box.

For at least the next 8 months Nerd Block is providing $10 credits to ShirtPunch, which sells anime and fandom shirts plus vinyl toys, collectibles, and other geek goodies! The shirts are as low as $10 (shipping starts at $4), which is an awesome deal.

After you use your code SAVE YOUR CARD – you have to try to collect all 9 pieces to get a completed puzzle and get a $100 card. I’m betting there will be only a few linchpin puzzle pieces (I have 4 now and they all have the same back).

Not quite as exciting as getting an actual shirt, especially for kids, but once you explain that they can pick out their own shirt (as long as you’re ok with shelling out a few extra dollars) I think they’ll be cool with it. Takes about 15 days to arrive.

The items lined up next month are teased in this card. So for August, it will be Sonic, TMNT, and Nerf!

Owl Magazine Summer Edition ($5.99) I don’t know if I’ve ever heard of this magazine before, but I was happy to get it to give the kids some interesting reading and fun games and puzzles for the summer – it’s really great timing!

The graphics are sharp, arresting, and the factoids and info were really fun for my children!

DuneCraft Super Snow ($1.11)  Just stir it into water and you have “snow!” This is actually pretty neat because it lasts for a while and then you can re-plump with water. I have a feeling it will be used for some serious Playmobil-ing.

TMNT Raphael Action Figure ($4.95) He stands or clips. Because it’s totally key to be able to display all your fandoms on your backpack. Promise.

Emoji Backpack Clips: TBH, I’m just sad we didn’t get the ?! Ok, this is a great item for kids and these backpack clips are all the rage for school.

Sonic The Hedgehog Drink Cup ($4.47) Win on multiple levels! 1) It’s blue. 2) It has a lid. 3) It has a non-chewable straw. We were actually in need of some new cups and how fun is it to get Sonic?!

Angry Birds Wind Chime ($8.95) The box sounded like something was broken when it arrived, but it was just this fun seasonal windchime! We’re awaiting some storms this weekend but after that we’ll let the kids hang them outside in the trees – they’re always really proud of themselves when they place garden art! It sounds odd, but it’s true!

I estimate about a $30 value this month, which was pretty good, and everything really did seem nicely curated for summer. This one was a hit!
