Love With Food Deluxe Box July 2016 review

The July box was packed full of tasty snacks!

The information booklet contains both the ingredients for each item plus color-coded keys indicating which are non-GMO, gluten-free, and vegan!  Though they offer a Gluten-free box, it’s nice to have this kind of info handily starred for households with mixed dietary profiles.

The box comes with a stack of coupons to help you save a few bucks if you want to buy more of your favorites from the box.

Pure Growth Organic Popcorn: I wouldn’t dream of opening this to test it out – not with 7 and 5 year old Frozen fans around! I say this every time – yes they are still that into it. They sell this popcorn in Disney Parks now too. This subscription is so fantastic for families! They have Minions, Marvel, and all sorts of franchises – this is perfect for a birthday party favor!

Love With Food Deluxe Box July 2016 (3)

LUNA Protein Berry Greek Yogurt Bar: This is basically a non-chocolate candy bar with protein, so it was a win!

Ritual Energy Peanut Chocolate Energy Snack: I have this from my last Urthbox and I don’t eat a lot of food with caffeine in it, so it’s probably going to sit a while. It’s a lot of caffeine!

Mini JimmyBar How ‘Bout Dem Apples: I love these no sugar added bars and hadn’t tried this flavor yet!

Love With Food Deluxe Box July 2016 (4)

Bandar Foods Naan Chips in Garlic: we actually just bought (and finished!) a giant bag of these from Sam’s Club. I highly recommend the smoked Gouda pimiento cheese. We finished the bag but are saving these two for future snack attacks.

Love With Food Deluxe Box July 2016 (5)

Mandy’s Rich Chocolate Cookie Thins: These are basically just like thin, crispy artisan Oreos without the cream, which means they are perfect. Seriously I’m glad they’re individually bagged because I can demolish it in a snap. But I ate them all anyways!

Love With Food Deluxe Box July 2016 (6)

Bandar Foods Masala Spiced Tomato KetchupSpicy Mango Chili Sauce: These are just sample packets but I couldn’t be more excited to try them! I’ve had my eye on these sauces in the Love With Food shop for months but I didn’t want to get the full-size without sampling them – I’m just crazy about flavored ketchup!

TruJoy Sweets Organic Heart  & Bunny Shaped Lollipops: I couldn’t tell you what these tasted like. I have three children and they really swoop in and steal everything!

PUR Mints Peppermint: I love the little resealable pouch! These oval mints aren’t too hard and they’re made with xylitol (naturally cavity fighting).

Love With Food Deluxe Box July 2016 (7)

One pop was more heart-shaped than the other! It turned out that it was a bunny. I couldn’t tell. This did not stop the rapid sugar ingestion by my kids.

Love With Food Deluxe Box July 2016 (8)

YumEarth Naturals Sour Beans: I honestly could do without all the candy in the box (except for chocolate) but my children would disagree. At least they’re all natural and gluten-free; egg-free; soy-free; nut-free; peanut-free; casein-free; dairy-free!

SuperSeedz Sea Salt Pumpkin Seeds: I enjoy pepitas and usually sprinkle them on cottage cheese for a nice crunch! No shelling required, they’re super convenient!

Love With Food Deluxe Box July 2016 (9)

Beanitos Baked White Bean Mac N’ Cheese Crunch: These do not taste like beans one bit! A family favorite for sure!

Pretzel Perfection Twice-Baked Tomato Basil Pretzel Sticks: These are intensely seasoned with tomato, basil, balsamic vinegar, and Italian spices. I couldn’t put my finger on why they were SO crunchy – they’re also gluten-free! The seasoning was a little much for me, but I’d try them in a different variety!

Love With Food Deluxe Box July 2016 (11)

A lot of good fun snacks in this box, although this month felt a little light – probably because there were so many kid-friendly items that I didn’t get a chance to sample them!

All Beanitos snacks have an aftertaste to me – those will go to my grandson. I got 2 flavors of popcorn – white cheddar and sea salt. The sea salt one was good, and I don’t even care much for popcorn. I’ll have to try the other one. As everyone likely knows by now, I don’t like lollipops, so those, along with the Luna bars and sour beans also go to the grandson. (I couldn’t tell what the bunny lollipop was supposed to be either.) I tried the caffeine bar thingy and wasn’t impressed. Found it dry and more peanut than anything. Caffeine doesn’t seem to do much for me, probably because I sip coffee more or less all morning. But I sure didn’t taste any chocolate in it. I expect I’ll try the Jimmybar thing, although I don’t really know why. I rarely like any of the bars. I’m actually looking for things to use the ketchup and chili sauce on – those sound yummy! (But then my favorite thing from all the past Love With Food boxes was the ghost pepper soy sauce.)

PS – I didn’t like the white cheddar popcorn nearly as much as the sea salt version, but then I’m very fussy about “cheese” flavored stuff. I found the pretzels sticky and over-salted, ended up throwing them away after about 2. First time I’ve ever had sticky pretzels.
