Loot Crate released a GHOSTBUSTERS Limited Edition Crate in time for the latest Ghostbusters movie this week! This limited edition box was $55 and is now sold out.
The box turns inside out, of course! This box promised a $90+ value and teased the following items:
- A t-shirt that will make you feel good
- A replica to charge up your collection
- A figure to make your friends green with envy
- 2 non-Carpathian pieces of art
- Decor that ain’t afraid of no house (haunted or otherwise)
The box turns into a Proton Pack complete with straps.
My husband had loads of fun with this one with our 5 year old! Yes, that’s our vacuum!
This info card is super fun, and high quality. This is one that I’d totally hang up!
The information card is definitely one-of-a-kind. I loved watching it when I was a kid and I’m excited for the reboot!

Ghostbusters Limited Edition Crate Enamel Pin: I love the details on this ride, and it’s really high quality! I love collecting pins! I don’t know if I can take this one off the card! It will have to go on the board with it because it looks great all together. The 2016 Ecto-1 is pretty similar to the original – it’s a 1982 Fleetwood hearse and just has that same look and feel!
This is the packaging for the next two items. The Proton Pack container was a little odd, but I’m not a box collector, so I didn’t really care.
Loot Crate Labs Exclusive 2016 Proton Pack Replica: This is fun, and about the same level of craft as the car from the last Loot Crate DX box. I think it’s important to note that your $55 goes to exclusive stuff, not necessarily super high end stuff. This was an OK item for me – fortunately our kids love all the things, so this was cool and fun for them.

Previsualization (also known as previs, previz, pre-rendering, preview or wireframe windows) is a function to visualize complex scenes in a movie before filming.
Basically it’s concept art. I actually love the creepy apparition but I don’t really love getting prints from Loot Crate. None of them really do it for me for this kind of box. I think it should be an extra, not an item.
Loot Crate Labs Exclusive 2016 Uniform T-Shirt: Styled like the new squad’s coveralls. This is pretty plain, but fairly accurate. My husband was happy with it. I got it in his size as only unisex sizes were available.
It would have been really awesome to get the actual uniform. My family has enough people to do this for Halloween – but who would get stuck with Slimer duties?!
Titan Merchandise Glow-In-The-Dark Slimer Figure: Another glow in the dark item! I can’t say that I’m upset with the Loot Crate LE box glow in the dark items – they all seem extremely glow-y!
You can also get other figures in the series, and we already have a couple Titans to go with Slimer. However, I’m going to need Zuul so I can have all the Sigourney Weaver titans.
Love the 80s styling here.
It’s a great figure and stands on its own, even though it doesn’t look like it will! You can move Slimer’s arms and wrists around too for the perfect pose.

The quality of this item was really lacking for me and I didn’t think it was ok that folding it up in the packaging basically ruined the look of it.
What did you think of the Limited edition GHOSTBUSTERS box from Loot Crate? I was blown away by the ALIENS box but this crate had room for improvement. Ultimately we really liked the shirt, Slimer, and pin, and my son had a blast with the proton pack, but I thought the value and quality was lacking in this box.
