kidstir_july2016_purplepower

First recipe in the box was for Purple Power. This is a fun recipe for a purple smoothie.

Each recipe comes with a list of ingredients and skills needed and some instructions on how to make it.

It also includes any notes or information about ingredients and if there are some other options for you.

With this being a smoothie recipe and requires a blender they finish the recipe up with some blender basics.

The fun extras in the box this month are some Party straw toppers.  These will make all summer drinks spark up and stand out.  They will also be great to help tell whose cup is whose when you have lots of people over.

The second recipe is for a s’more shake.  I love s’mores and this has reminded me we haven’t made them yet this summer.  I’m going to grab the ingredients to make this and regular s’mores soon.  I love that they included a little ice cream scoop with it. This one is very kid friendly and my youngest will love helping me.

The final recipe is for a summer cooler. This is a fun drink made with watermelon and cucumber.  My youngest is my little sous chef and will love that he can help me peel things now that he has his own peeler.

I’m loving these summer drink recipes and how they are kid friendly. We have already put the recipes in our binder and I’m over the moon excited for the s’more shake.  I’m thinking that needs to happen this weekend and it would be sooner if my boys weren’t already back in school.  Do you have any favorite summer drink recipes of the kid friendly variety?
