I have two boys ages 5 and 8 who were very excited with the first look into the box.  They couldn’t wait for me to finish my pictures so they could run off with the goodies.

The theme for July is Crazy for Cartoons.  The info card comes with the curator note which this months says its been a year since they launched their initial indiegogo and the book selections for all 4 Kids Prize Pack options.

The back of the info card has a request for a survey and information on a Student of the Month program.

There was a card with a two sided comic and a magnet with this month’s theme on it.  My youngest took the magnet right to the fridge and my older son ran off with the comic to read.

Pokemon Emolga Makes Mischief ($3.82) – This was the book selection of my youngest tonight. My family (like most others) are currently obsessed with Pokemon go so all things Pokemon are AWESOME in the eyes of my boys.  He also just started kindergarten and says he will be reading in 10 days so he put this one in his pile that he can read again when he doesn’t need help.  I’d say that made it a winner.

The adventure continues! Ash, Pikachu, Iris, and Cilan are making their way through Unova, a land of big cities, beautiful countryside, and tons of amazing new Pokémon. Join the adventure as Ash and his Pokémon battle for badges. Reader #3 is based on a thrilling episode of the hit TV series.

Avengers 48 Piece Puzzle In A Tin ($7.70) – Yay for a puzzle! We love puzzles at my house and this was added to the shelf for us this weekend.  The tin is really nice and 48 pieces is great for my younger son to do by himself.

Disney Planes Fire and Rescue Drip Die-cast Vehicle ($5.00) – We love cars and even while I’m starting to clear out some of our toys the cars will not go. My boys can spend hours setting up tracks and playing. They ran off with this one and added to their stash right away.  It doesn’t roll but they said that they didn’t care and they knew right who it was.

Funko MyMoji Minions Blind Bag Display ($3.33) – I had no idea these were a thing but when I went to look them up they have them in lots of different characters. He is really cute and as much as I wanted to keep it I let the boys have it to add to their bin of small things. This is a brand new product!

kidsprize_july2016_playpack

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Play Pack Grab & Go ($1.00) – I keep a supply of these and will grab them and take them when we are going somewhere I know the boys will need an activity.  This is in my stash and I’ll pull it out next time we head out somewhere.

kidsprize_july2016_shortfuse

Funko POP Penguins of Madagascar Short Fuse Vinyl Figure ($6.00) – Another item I didn’t know but my boys did. This guy is really cute and has been added to our display already. We are always excited to get Funko items in our boxes and this is no exception. While he isn’t as well known as some others he is pretty cute.

This was the first Kids Prize Pack that we received and we love it. With having the two boys the 4-8 age range works really well for us. My littlest wants to learn to read and my oldest doesn’t mind reading to him yet. I’m sure that will change but for now I’m going to take it.  I think the items really fit with the theme of the cartoons and I like the variety in items they sent out.  My boys were very happy with them all and will have fun reading and playing with them.
