Hollllllo! I love the super fun holographic bag this month! The Ipsy theme for July is “Hot Summer Nights” and the bag had cute little umbrellas!

Ipsy July 2016 review

Everything in my bag for July! I totally absentmindedly tore off all the packaging.

Ipsy July 2016 (2)

bareMinerals Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipcolor in Swag ($8.30) This is Bare Minerals new matte lip product and I have to say, I’m impressed! It has a delicious vanilla scent and swiped on totally creamy. Let it set for 10 minutes to lock in the color before doing a thing. I found it to be a great lasting formulation.

Mellow Cosmetics Baked Eyeshadow in Plum ($8) I loved the silky texture of this paraben-free shadow!

Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in No Filter ($15) A purpley light greige, this is a great neutral but accentuated the redness of my fingertips a bit. See how I fixed that at the end of the post! This formula has great coverage and dries super quick!

Ipsy July 2016 (3)

The Mellow shadow is new to me and was easy to work with! I love how these products are a little matchy!

Lip color & shadow swatches.

Ipsy July 2016 (1)

Shray Queen Bee Face Mask ($6) A redness-soothing honey-infused mask designed to treat acne.

Shray Ms. Amazing Face Mask ($6) A moisturizing mask for sensitive dry skin. I’ve tried out this mask before – check out what it looks like in my February Boxycharm review!

I’ve been getting quite a few sheet masks from Ipsy over the last couple months. I can’t complain – I love slapping one on while I work. I never make it the whole amount of time, so I was happy to see these were 10 minute masks – it makes me feel less guilty!

Ipsy July 2016 (5)

The expiration date is really far off too, in case you don’t use them right away (but do!).

Ipsy July 2016 (6)

Not Soap, Radio Joy Inducing Hand/Body Lotion ($1) This lotion ploofed all over me when I opened it – be warned! It’s super lightweight and the lemony scent is deliciousness.  I thought it was invigorating for a little pep in the evening.

Oh and you can see my No Filter swatches above!

Ipsy July 2016 (7)

I wasn’t really a big fan of the color, so I popped some Julep nail polish on top with one of my polish stamps. Boom! The color is a fantastic base for nail stamping, especially since it dries so quickly. I didn’t use any nail drops and it was maybe five minutes before I stamped.

I admit – I never review my bags because I don’t have the time to, but I specifically went in my ipsy account to review last month’s terrible bag. I think it helped a lot! This was one of the best bags I’ve ever received from ipsy, with top quality products. The value was about $44.  BTW, I have 3 free bags in my account to send to first-time subscribers. Leave a comment below and I’ll send invites to the first 3 people!  Invites gone! Leave a comment that you’d like an invite and I’ll pass your email address to (very long time) reader Susan to get a free bag (first time subscribers only). 3 more invites available! Thanks Susan!!

We got the same bag! I thought it was one of the best bags too. What you did with the polish looks so fun! I’m wearing it now and trying to decide if it will grow on me. I am going to offer it to someone that might love it. My lotion exploded when I opened it too! I thought it was because it was so hot right out of the bag. I can’t keep sheet masks on long either. I need to try one on a really hot day. They are always so cold. Or maybe I should warm one in hot water on a cold day. 😉 The lip cream and eyeshadow are so pretty!

I got mostly things I never use – another eyeliner in black, some Get Glossy Hair Serum, em concealer (at least it’s light, not the medium shown on my ipsy page) , face primer and some Skyn Iceland cooling lotion (the only thing I’ll even try). The bag is cute, but not really holographic to my eye. My extras this time from points are 2 em eyeliners I got for my daughter (emerald and black olive), some lavender bath soak (also for my daughter), and some pomegranate bath & body gel.

we are bag twins this month! I also noticed the eyeshadow and lipstick matched. I plan to do a monochromatic look with the both of them. I think I’m going to apply the eyeshadow wet for a foiled look.

I love what I got this month ( and the others I’ve gotten since I started in April).

I got the same lotion which I am going to get a full size of because it dries so fast.

Meet Matte in Matte Kumar by the balm was the perfect warm tone for me.

Ofra lip liner in Maya can be used as an eyeliner and actually goes well with the balm shadow I got.

The thrive black eyeliner (eugh another one) I got made up for the basic color by including a sharpener/smudge tool on it and it is a nice formula.

I also got a Luxie brush which is a really good quality brush

I think I am getting stuff I like because I picked a good stylist!

My neighbor gets Ipsy and loves it. I tried Boxycharm and we would compare what we got each month. I cancelled my Boxycharm and she still loves her Ipsy. I get envious when I see her pull that pink bag from the mailbox each month. I have been thinking about trying it out. The price is a steal at $10 per month. If you still have a code I would love to try it out.

Both June and July was not my favorite. I thought the bag was awful for July. Not very happy with ipsy lately……

Thanks for reviewing the bag! I like the nail color. It’s a nice neutral with a unique twist! I also like the nail art you did. I’d be interested in trying out this subscription if you have an invite!

Nice bag, very different from the one I’m supposed to get. The only item I’m really interested in from my box is the Two Face primer. July has proven better than June tho.
