iBbeautiful July 2016 Tween Subscription Box Review

iBbeautiful is a subscription box for teen and tween girls with inspiring accessory and beauty products, plus a positive message! iBbeautiful wants to help girls be confident, smart, brave, unique, and kind.  You can choose either tween (8-12 years old) or teen (13+).  You also can choose between a basic box (no tee) for $20/month or a graphic tee box for $30/month.

This is a review of the tween, graphic tee box.  I reviewed this box with my 14-year old daughter because my 11-year old daughter, who is probably better suited for this box, is away at camp.  We’ll save some of the goodies for her.  Anyway, my young teen daughter enjoyed a lot of the items in the box too!

The bright pink box is fun.  When we opened it up…purple squiggles and good vibes!

The theme for this box, from the placard affixed to the inside of the box, is “Surround Yourself with Good Vibes.”  In addition to the placard, the box included this card that reinforced the positive message.  iBbeautiful always includes a positive message for girls in their boxes.  My daughter really liked the message and this “groovy” card.

Here’s a look at everything in the July tween box.  Fun!  Let’s check it out.

Inflight Travel Essentials Kit ($20 – although I could only find this product as shipped from the UK):  What a fun little travel kit!  A set of tissues, mini wipes, hand cream, and lip balm, all decorated in this great travel-themed packaging – plus airplane-friendly sized.  With our family summer vacation coming up, my daughters will definitely toss these handy items in their toiletry bags and make good use of them.

Watermelon-Shaped Lip Gloss ($5):  This cute little lip gloss container is shaped like a watermelon wedge – perfect for summer.

Scratch & Sniff Nail Stickers ($5):  How fun are these for summer!  Palm trees, flamingos, and coconut drinks.  You apply these over nail polish for a cute look.  This is the one product in the box that skewed too young for my teen daughter, but my tween daughter (who is the intended age for this box) LOVES nail stickers.

Mood Maker nail polish ($5 – link shows a two-bottle set):  It’s like a mood ring for your finger nails!  Depending on the warmth of your hands, the nail polish shifts between this pretty purple color and a pink shade.  My older daughter got a kick out of trying to figure out at what temperature the color would shift – we’re a little strange in my family.  It does seem to work best if you have a couple of coats of polish on, but in any case, my daughter thought this was a fun item.

Graphic T-shirt:  As noted above, you can get iBbeautiful box with or without the graphic t-shirt.  My girls LOVE t-shirts though, so that wasn’t a question for us.  This month’s shirt is perfectly in line with the good vibes theme of the box.  This is a nice mid-weight, long, skinny t-shirt with a great message.  The color is pretty too.

This was our first time reviewing iBbeautiful – and it was a lot of fun.  All of the items in the box were perfect for target tween age group (and nearly all for a young teen too).  Everything was cute and fun and totally fit the good vibe and summer theme.  I love the positive messages of the box, plus I liked that the message was presented in a fun, hip way that the girls could really embrace.  I think this is a great box for tweens (and teens)…and more importantly, my daughter agrees!
