Hello! Bliss Box’s Mission:
“We believe in blissful feeling good things. At Bliss Box that means enjoying pretty items, finding time to relax with family & friends and taking that well deserved “me” minute to relax and feel beautiful inside and out. The products we curate every month are a reflection of just that… really feel good things you can use in your daily life.”
The bright tissue and welcome instantly made me smile.
I see a summer/beachy theme. YES!!!
The information card provides a short description of each item and coupons codes for you to use if you decide to purchase it again.
4 oz. Candle (Indian Summer) by Lola’s Handcrafted ($5.00-$7.50): I wasn’t sure how to price this candle. Lola’s Handcrafted only carries the 4 oz. size as part of their monthly candle subscription. The first thing I noticed when I opened this were notes of vanilla and coconut. I’m usually not a fan of either of these scents, but I was pleasantly surprised by this blend. The candle also has hints of heliotrope, pine, cedar, amber, sandalwood, musk, roasted marshmallows, and brown sugar. Whew! That’s a lot. I think the other fragrances, particularly the amber, sandalwood, and musk (I love all 3) are what made this so nice. The candle has a good throw for smaller spaces.
Original Lavender Insect Repellent by Naked Botanicals ($5.00): “We take a bold, citrus bouquet of lemongrass, citronella plus energizing peppermint then round it out with woody lavender and cedarwood notes to create a naturally-occurring insect repellent in a signature intoxicating scent. Yum. Not only does it create a Cloak of Invisibility against biting insects, but the witch hazel-based elixir also refreshes and purifies your skin in high heat and humidity.” I adore the scent of lavender, so this already won huge points with me. I wish I had this while on vacation because I managed to go through an entire bottle of commercial repellent and still wound up with bites. Definitely will be trying this out soon.
Hello! Bliss Box Moxy Beaded Bracelet ($?): I couldn’t find a retail value for this on the Hello! Bliss Box site. This is a set of 4 stretch bracelets that can be worn together or separately. According to HBB, they are “Oh, so boho chic…”. I love the mix of deep blue/aqua/coral with the white and gold. There’s also a mix of textures used on the different bracelets, adding to the eclectic vibe. And, did you see the little feather and charm!?!
The bracelets worn together – love the statement look.
Beachy Dish Towel by Primitives by Kathy ($9.20): This exact towel wasn’t on the Primitives site but comparable towels have the same retail. This has summertime written all over it, almost literally. I love lightweight towels like these because they dry out quickly and are cute. Maybe I’ll feel like I’m at a tropical oasis while I do dishes if I use this and a tropical scented detergent.
I thought the LOL Made You Smile origin story was cute.
Inspirational Quote ($?): This will be great in my office (okay, it’s a cubicle). I can pretend to look out the window towards the ocean. This is meant to be “framed & hung up as a daily motivational reminder. Swap it out every month with our newest quote.”
Also included was a raffle ticket for a FREE box! I checked, but was not a winner.
It has been a while since I received this subscription, but I am glad to have received it again. I feel that the curated items made sense with the theme and were well thought out. Hello! Bliss Box guarantees that each box contains items with a total value that is over the $28.95 cost of the box. My total is between $19-21, but that does not factor in the bracelet or inspirational print. Based on similar items, I would estimate that the bracelet and print would bring the total value up at least another $15 or more.
The bracelet was my favorite item this month. I loved the colors, which match a ton of my summer wardrobe, and its versatility. Do you agree? Or maybe you liked something else better… Leave a comment below and let me know your thoughts.
