Comic Bento June 2016 Subscription Box Review & Coupon

Comic Bento is a monthly comic book subscription service that delivers graphic novels and comics each month.  This is a great value as every month you’ll receive at least $50 in books.

Special care is given to each box.  To make keep the books from jostling about, Comic Bento uses air cushions and has all books packed together in plastic with cardboard to keep everything straight.

Four books, all from well renowned publisher.  Comic Bento did well in some hot items to their offering this month.

Comic Bento includes a 2-sided card that gives you some insight into the books they sent.  They also give some backstory as to why they chose the books within the subscription box. This month’s theme is Valiant Comics.

Comic Bento partners with Valiant Comics for this month!  This is pretty cool as you get four different titles from a great publisher.

Armor Hunters – Valiant Comics – $14.99.  I’m a big fan of Robert Venditti’s writing and I’m sure this book has a whole lot of remarkable in it.  Doug Braithewaite adds his incredible art to this big name book.

Harbinger Wars – Valiant Comics – $14.99.  If you’re a Valiant fan and want to read a huge crossover event, look no further.  This is a great looking collection of books!

Faith: Hollywood and Vine – Valiant Comics – $9.99.  This is the one I am most excited about.  I’ve been hearing, for a long time, that this is the series to read.  Written by Jody Houser and art by Francis Portela & Marguerite Sauvage, this book looks amazing.  Plus, you get colors from one of my favorite people in Andrew Dalhouse.

Orphaned at a young age, Faith Herbert – a psionically gifted “psiot” discovered by the Harbinger Foundation – has always aspired to greatness. But now this once ordinary teenager is taking control of her destiny and becoming the hard-hitting hero she’s always known she can be – complete with a mild-mannered secret identity, unsuspecting colleagues, and a day job as a reporter that routinely throws into her harms way! Well, at least she thought it would… When she’s not typing up listicles about cat videos, Faith makes a secret transformation to patrol the night as the City of Angels’ own leading superhero – the sky-soaring Zephyr!

Harbinger Volume Two: Renegades – Valiant Comics – $14.99.  Harbinger has been a title throughout the history of Valiant Comics dating back to the early nineties.  This is a collection of Harbinger # 6-10 from the most recent publications.

With a secret army of psychic soldiers at his command, no one has dared defy Toyo Harada’s plans for the human race — until now! Comic Bento is such an awesome value!  All four of these books were packaged so well together and arrived in spectacular condition.  As stated earlier, there is a theme but there’s also a ton of variety, and the theming of this box is pretty unique amongst comic subscriptions. The curator’s notes really bring the theme together, and that made this box even more awesome!
