The Box of Blessings by International Blessings sends 3-4 jewelry or other handcrafted items by artisans around the world. International Blessings is working to empower 3rd world artisans by creating sustainable livelihoods and healthy families which break the poverty cycle. $3.00 from every box is donated to the cause of the month. The box sums it up! Breaking the poverty cycle helps keep parents and children from being forced into human trafficking, dying from curable diseases and more.
The Proverbs 30:8 verse is one of my favorite verses.
I am excited that the country is India. I am imagining ornate and colorful designs.
I see a multitude of colors!
The booklet provides information on what countries are featured each month, the cause of the month, and information about the items included in the box. The July theme is India.
The cause for July is Rahab’s Rope. The $3.00 donation will be used to provide a safe environment for women and girls at risk or been forced into sex trade in India.
The booklet also includes a description of the items in the box.
Here are the items in the July Box of Blessings. There are two items inside the chartreuse bag. The color means good luck in India.
The Multicolor Wooden Wrap Bracelet ($10.00) is gorgeous! The brightly colored spiral bracelet is made out of glass, stones, seeds, and upcycled materials. Subscribers could receive blue, red, or multicolor.
The Matr Boomie Metal Design Earrings (appx $15.00) have a beautiful, intricate design. I based the price on similar earrings found in the Box of Blessings Shop. The earrings are 2″ in diameter. I love the design and will find a way to reuse them.
The above two products are from Matr Boomie, a wholesale fair trade company. They worked with nearly 80 artisans in Old Delhi that handcraft jewelry. I would not be surprised if the ring is also carried by them.
The Stone Ring is an adjustable ring. The break in the band is where you can pull on the sides to adjust it. My sister and I both wore the ring in the pictures and found it easy to manipulate.
The semi-precious stone is surrounded by silver braided edges. It is a large size ring with some weight to it. It’s a unique statement piece.
The earring is gorgeous. I love the flower design!
The ring reaches to my first knuckle. It did not bother my finger or knuckle. The bracelet is colorful although I am not sure if I would wear both pieces together.
My sister’s hand is covered in Little Lamb fur! Her hand and wrist are smaller than mine. You can also see one of the bracelet ends. She loved that the ring was adjustable and could be worn on any finger.
I love the jewelry in the July Box of Blessings. It met my expectation of design and color. The jewelry pieces can fit an assortment of wrists and fingers. The earrings’ stylish look reminds me of an intricate henna design. The chartreuse bag was a thoughtful gesture full of hope and good luck. The craftsmanship shows that the items are made by artisans skilled in their trades. It’s a wonderful box for those looking to support impoverished artisans and empower them and their communities while also support a monthly cause.
