BookCase.Club is a monthly book subscription box. Every month you’ll receive two handpicked books in one of eight genres. (For the children’s picture book box you’ll get four books!). This is an inexpensive book subscription – less than $15 including shipping per month!

When you sign up you’ll pick the genre. I selected Blind Date, because I love Paranormal Romance novels! They just added 2 new subscriptions – quarterly cookbooks, and quarterly military history.

The first look into my box. There isn’t much to these boxes and they include the two books and then a note/info sheet.  There is usually some packing paper rolled up around the edges to help with shifting during shipping. Most months we receive one paperback and one hardback book.

The inside of the info card has a little blurb about each book and really they had me hooked from the top since who doesn’t love Vamps and Weres?

The note this month is from Shalene and I totally agree with her.  It is so hot outside here in NC that I just want to curl up in the AC and read a book.  My boys actually started back to school today and I’m taking a book with me in the car during carpool so I can sit and blast the air on me while I wait and read.

The July books.  I love the covers of both of these and they right away pulled me in.

Reborn by C.C. Hunter ($16.03) This sounds like a book I can’t wait to read. It has some vampires and shifters and a world in chaos which are all good things in my book.  This is the first of 4 books in  The Shadow Falls: After Dark Series .  When I look online it looks like the first three books are already available with the 4th coming out in October which is great for me since once I read and love this one I’m sure to want to order the next couple.

Enter Shadow Falls: After Dark and meet a vampire named Della, who’s about to discover what her own story is meant to be. . . .
Della had the perfect life-the family, a boyfriend, and a bright future-until she was turned, and abandoned by everyone she loves. She takes refuge at Shadow Falls, a camp for teens with paranormal powers. It’s where she and her best friends, Kylie and Miranda, heal their heartbreak with laughter, and where Della is training to be a paranormal investigator-and she refuses to be distracted. That means there’s no time for romance with Steve, a gorgeous shapeshifter whose kisses melt her heart.
When a new vampire named Chase shows up at camp, Della’s world is thrown into even more chaos. Arrogant and annoyingly sexy, Chase is a mystery . . . and the only mystery Della likes is one she can solve. She can’t solve Chase, at least not while she’s dealing with ghostly hauntings, vampire gangs and a web of family secrets. Can she prove herself as an investigator and keep her life-and her heart-intact? From bestselling author C. C. Hunter comes Reborn, the first book in a new series set once more in the world of Shadow Falls.

 bookcase_july2016_otherkin

Otherkin by Nina Berry ($9.95) This a new author to me but I was immediately drawn to the cover of the book. This is the first of a trilogy and again I’m sure I’ll wan to grab the other books once I get into it.

I thought I knew myself. Then I met Caleb.

Dez is a good girl who does as she’s told and tries not to be noticed. Then she rescues a boy from a cage, and he tells her secrets about herself. Now inside her burns a darkness that will transform her.

Everything is about to change–and neither Caleb, nor the Otherkin, nor those who hunt them, are prepared for what Dez will unleash

Another month of great books.  As with before I like that BookCase.Club sends the first book of a series and allows me to quickly pick up the rest of the books so I can binge them.  My reading game has really stepped up since I’ve gotten this box and I’ve loved all of the books that have come so far.  They are right on point with my paranormal romance case and I can’t wait each month to open up and see what new world I will be transported into.
