Bella Spa Box June 2016 Subscription Box Review

Bella Spa Box is a monthly subscription box containing handmade artisan bath and body products made with all natural ingredients.  Each month is centered around a theme, and you’ll receive beautiful bath and body products such as luxurious soaps, body scrubs, bath bombs, bath salts, lip balms, lotions and more.  Expect 4-5 products and a few samples to share with friends!  There are no harmful ingredients, and everything is made in the USA!

NOTE (from Patty at Bella Spa Box):  The [June] boxes were delayed in shipping this month due to an item that was ordered for all boxes. It’s a beautiful scoop for the scrubs and bath teas. The supplier was delayed getting them to me. I’m so sorry for this. I will be doing something special for all customers. I have also vow not to use this supplier again.

The items in the box are nestled in tissue paper for packing.

My first look in.  Ooh, I see soaps and maybe a scrub?There is an information packet in the box that describes the theme.  It also outlines the products in the box and how to use them.  The June theme is “We Love Our Men Too!”  Seems appropriate since that’s when we celebrate Father’s Day.

We love our men too!  This month we are celebrating the men in our lives, and the beginning of summer.  We here at Bella Spa Box, are excited about our June box.  We know that our Men work hard and need a day to relax, relate, and release also.

In this newsletter, we will explain each of your products and why they will help you to relax.

Remember to Relax, Relate, and Release!

Everything in June’s box.

Luxury Bath Tea ($4.99):  Instead of having a cup of tea to unwind, why not have a soak?  This bath tea contains a blend of flowers and fruits to help you relax and rejuvenate including rose petals, chamomile, lavender, lemongrass, jasmine buds, and citrus peels.

Hawaiian Lava Soak – Lavender & Black Salt:   This contains lavender oil, mineral salt, and Hawaiian black lava salt.  The salts help to remove toxins, while lavender has a calming effect.  Add this to a warm bath and relax.

Black Butter Soap ($4.99):  This moisturizing bar contains activated charcoal to detoxify skin.  It is scented with Cook Musk.  The bar is said to be beneficial for those with skin irritations such as acne, eczema, or psoriasis.  The black looks marbled and is pretty out of the wrapping.

The Chamomile Soap ($4.99):  Another moisturizing soap bar, this contains chamomile to help soothe skin irritation and inflammation.  The bits of flower also work to provide gentle exfoliation.  I like the light lavender scent of this bar.

Shimmer Citrus Lotion:  If you like the scent of oranges, then you’ll love this.  It is really yummy.  However, the lotion took a while to absorb, so you will have to wait a bit if you are using it on your hands.  Also, the shimmer isn’t like a hint of iridescence, it is actually fine glitter in the formula.  I tried to get a picture but couldn’t.  Suffice it to say, my niece’s hands looked like they do when we decorate the Christmas tree after using this.

Green Tea Sugar Scrub:  This is listed as Green Tea & Jasmine Scrub on the information sheet, but there’s no jasmine in this according to the label.  The green tea provides antioxidants to the skin while you exfoliate and moisturize.  Gently rub onto skin and rinse with warm water.  I like scrubs, particularly after a physically exhausting day.  I feel like the crystals help massage achy muscles and get blood flowing as I scrub.  This has a nice sweet and clean scent.

**BONUS Spa Item** Foot Scrubber ($1.00):  Some subscribers may have received a calendula soap instead.  I appreciate that the Bella Spa team included a gift.  However, I’ve purchased this exact scrubber before (Dollar Tree), and it’s not very effective.  Personally, I would have preferred the calendula soap.

I love getting bath and spa products, so this box was a lot of fun.  Knowing that the products are made from natural ingredients is also a win.  The jars are air tight, but they’re canning jars with metal lids.  Make sure to keep them out of the water to avoid rusting.  Also, since the soaps are glycerin based, use a grated soap dish (sitting in water will dissolve the bar).
