ZBOX is here! This is one of two limited edition boxes for Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War. While May’s ZBOX was a more general Marvel theme, these two boxes for Team Cap and Team Iron Man were specifically designed around the two teams. This is a review of the Iron Man box — obvious choice for me!
These limited edition boxes (there’s also team Cap) are still available and are about $44 each shipped.
The top of the box had Cap’s star on it, but the address labels covered the bulk of the design. So here’s the bottom, featuring Tony Stark’s original arc reactor.
The inside lid of the box features very cool artwork of Iron Man and Captain America in a red, white, and black scheme.
First look! Cue the high-pitched noises from me.
Team Stark Banner ($15?) This is about the size of a standard sized pillow case, and is made of a nicely weighted fabric with crisp printing. I think this could be used as a wall hanging, or a flag!
Team Stark Shirt (~$10) The shirt features the same design. I like that it’s grey — I don’t have many grey tees, and it’s a colour that gets overlooked for nerdy tees. This is officially licensed, too!
Fabrikations Iron Man Soft Sculpture ($8.00 USD) This soft vinyl plush was made for Avengers: Age of Ultron, and features the Mark 43 armour. The stitching detail on this is awesome — it really works well for the mask and seams of the armour!
Iron Man Pop Vinyl ($10 USD) I already have this little guy — I just love the Funko vinyls! — but I am so excited to see him in this box! I’ve got an army of Iron Man figures on my shelf.
Marvel Comics Civil War II ($4.95) Ughhhh, the original run of Civil War messed me up so badly, I don’t know if I have it in me to get into a sequel! (I’ll try and keep this as spoiler-free as I can!) This is a variant cover, which is always cool! I do like Bendis’ writing so I’ll give this a try.
This limited edition ZBOX would make any Iron Man fan happy! I’m always excited for a new wearable, and everything is high quality and licensed. I’ve seen spoilers for the Captain America version of the box and it’s pretty similar in terms of contents, so whether you’re on Team Steve or Team Tony, you’re getting a very cool box! The total value wasn’t huge – about $48 USD.
