YumeTwins is brought to you by the same people behind TokyoTreat, so you know it’s going to be awesome! That purple box alone — how cute is that? It’s printed with everything kawaii, from unicorns to wands to clouds and stars and hearts. I’m keeping mine to store stationery in, since it’s pretty roomy!

June 2016 is their debut box!

IMG_3341

Like with TokyoTreat, there’s an adorable colourful magazine included that contains the product info, facts about Japan, information on contests, and so on. The quality is really high, which goes along with the rest of the box!

First look — I’m sensing a big magical girl theme right away — and Sailor Saturn!

IMG_3343

Sailor Saturn Plush ($10) The booklet only shows the four outer senshi, so I’m not sure if there were only four variations sent out. Either way, she is just adorable and the detail on these is always so impressive.

Kamio Hand Towel This little towel is smaller than a face cloth, and is meant to be tucked into a purse for when you’re out and about and need to dry your hands. I need to do this and cut back on the paper towels I use!

Prism Paradise Candy Case PriPara is a popular franchise that started with a rhythm game and has been turned into an anime series (with movies!) and a manga. This is a plastic compact case featuring several characters.

Closeup!

It came with a package of candy — fruit flavoured chewy candies. There’s a plastic lid to dispense them, and I think this would be a cute pill case after the candy is gone!

IMG_3331

Kamio Panda Memos These are so cute! There are two designs and these will also go in my purse for when I need to write something down.

We were sent two blind boxes!

Kabaya C’est Bon Ring Kabaya did a collaboration with Sailor Moon and I was hoarding their necklace blind boxes, so I’m familiar with their setup. These blind boxes include a piece of plastic jewelry and a pack of candy.

It only fit on my pinkie finger, but despite being plastic it’s actually really pretty! The pink plastic has a holographic/rainbow sheen to it which is hard to capture in the photo but you can sort of see on the right side of the bow.

IMG_3336

Gudetama Keyring I got Gudetama with a fork! Is he going to eat himself?! This comes with a link to attach to your keys, phone, or purse.

IMG_3334

Rement Sticker Kit This mascot/character is new to me! This kit has a background and removeable stickers you can place on it to create your own scenes.

Gudetama Coin Purse This is exactly the same style as the Hello Kitty x Doraemon one from TokyoTreat, and I love getting licensed goodies! Gudetama’s blanket seems to be made out of bacon… mmm… bacon…

YumeTwins knocked it out of the park for their first box! Kawaii boxes are a slippery slope — finding authentic goods isn’t cheap, even over in Japan, and keeping things appealing but still at a good price point is hard. YumeTwins has found a balance and all of the items included are high quality. I’m really excited to see where their box adventures take them, and I really enjoyed reviewing their first box!

the sailor moon plush and gudetama blind box is cute, but everything else looks like dollar store items

All of the items are licensed and high quality. It’s hard to place value on the smaller items but I think the value is similar to other kawaii boxes.
